    Official. Reed is gone.

Thank you for all the good work over the years, but this is unfortunately a necessary step

It had to happen. This was on the approach for some time. Right decision.

I don’t like a lot of the stuff people told me about how he had Staplewood operating, particularly in regards to the academy, but he did some sterling work during the first five years of his eight-year tenure.

Thanks for the good work Les but this was definitely due.

I feel like LTL somehow made this happen.

Thanks for the good times Les, unlike some, I won't forget what you did for us but sadly it was going downhill for the last 2 years or so through bad decision making.

Time for a change. I don't know how much our problems were down to him and how much to constraints he was under, but something had to change. Thanks for the good times, Les...good luck for the future, but probably best for Saints' sake.
Hope this does produce a turnaround of sorts, but changing the Director of Football will have a long term effect....we need a short term effect as well.

I can’t be happy or sad about this. We are left with kreuger running the club. I would have hoped that Les would be replaced rather than fired. Can’t decide if it’s the end of the problems or the beginning of the end so will just wait and see. What we need drastically is an upturn in results in the short term and a return to our traditional strengths in the long term. Gods signings, good academy, good football.

Agree with this, it can only be a positive if we get the right replacement through the door.

Hard to see us getting anyone worse though, 20 million for Carrillo.

Great news, I think. Not sure binning LR will have any affect on immediate fortunes but maybe he was a problem holding onto MH or even holding him back!?

The problem I have with this is that we don’t have leadership. Clueless, seemingly absent owners, clueless chairman kreuger. Who at saints is actually qualified to fire anyone let alone oversee replacements. We are in for some rough seas I fear.

Football matters haven't been right for a while so the person responsible for those matters has to go. He did so well when he arrived
Glad we've gone higher than the manager as we are on a run of constantly changing managers and not fixing anything

I'm not baying for Ralph's blood like some. Its the football that's the problem
Some may say its a Ralph problem too, but how can you tell who's really ITK and speaking from an unbiased point of view?
And if Ralph goes then does that mean the rest of the board and Gao are so much improved without him they will then somehow get us back to where we were?

Winston Churchill Quotes. Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
