I'm fairly sure there was segregation, given that Saints would have been in very hot water if there wasn't any. I remember going to that and I was right next to the Newcastle fans and there was the usual line of stewards and the netting over seats IIRC. Like I said, home and away fans must be segregated - FA regulations.
Except they weren’t, as there were rows of Newcastle fans right behind rows of Saints fans. Possibly the Newcastle fans bought tickets from Saints somehow, as I did for my daughter and her bf.

Bar 'neutral' areas of course.

Yeah, I do get that. Give us something to sing about, and we’ll sing. But how about singing when we’re losing? How about supporting your team in the tough times as well as the good?

.

You might as well throw “Singing in the Rain” in there too Archers.... we’ll be able to do that soon enough :)

As already pointed out, the club ****ed up any chance of having a good atmosphere at SMS when they gave half the Northam to away fans. It’s like cutting your nob in half and still trying to bone your bird, try all you want to get it going but it’s still gonna be a **** performance either way.

Nope. Can’t think of anytime I’ve ever heard an analogy that used that! A first.

I believe that the a large chunk of the support expect us to be top half and challenging for Europe most seasons which is quite simply ludicrous for a club of our size.

Sorry mate, I usually agree with a lot of your views, but that doesn’t seem quantifiable.

I think Beddy has a point saying we want to be seen as trying, from the Board, the Manager and the players.

And something (all three possibly) just ain’t happening.

It seems to me we need a total overhaul again, starting with a Swiss Banker.

I don't see a lack of effort though, a lack of quality and belief? Certainly but there's been no lack of effort in the games I've seen.

Maybe you’re right, perhaps it is ability and belief, but the players are able to play better than they currently are and that along with belief comes from the manager.

I think this month will be telling, we simply have to click or Hughes needs to go, we can’t afford to fart around like last season.

I was going to say it’s a bit like we are in that awful run under RK, and we beat Watford 2-0 I think and it just kicked on from there.
My gut feeling tells me it just don’t gonna happen. We had now about 15 games under Hughes. Forget keeping us up last time, any run as bad as his rarely corrects itself.

Must say that my gut is telling me the same thing tbh.

They have priced out all the youngsters that would make noise.

It’s not surprising really, no one that I had a season ticket with in league 1/champ days has one anymore.

I am not young , or been priced out .

I had a season ticket from going into admin to our first year back in the PL . Not had one since as I simply don’t enjoy it anymore .

Pompey home support is fantastic , what will it be like if / when they get a nice new identity kit stadium ?

And a crowd with lots of the prawn sarnie brigade ?

**** I miss the dell .
