The Cardif game was brilliant Pop Robson equalized and south wales felt a 5:4 on the rictor scale as was the Wrexham game when Alan Brown scored ,to many games to mention but as normal when you follow Sunderland and we take a army to a away game the feeling is tops for me

Chris, I watch your 'verbal battles' with regular posters on here with a degree of humour, but when you make comments such as this, you cross the divide and it's no wonder you generate such bad feeling.

I am still unsure whether you are (i) simply immature and unable to comprehend why people leave their home town or (ii) purposely creating aggravation for some obscure satisfaction fetish.

If it's the former, then you will grow up one day and look back on these posts with embarrassment.

However, if it's the latter, then you have my deepest sympathy.

I second that.

I've lived away from Sunderland a couple of times in my life, i lived in Manchester for a while, but still maintained my season ticket, i wasn't able to get up for every game, obviously, so i'd go to City, Stockport or Oldham.

To say someone who lives away is any less of a fan is shambolic, and the fact you've clearly just said it to be controversial just makes you an absolte and utter ****er.

My best pal lives in London now, and believe me it breaks his heart to not go to the games, but he earns in excess of 60k a year down there, he was earning 22k in Sunderland and has a son and daughter to support.

He is a 'big' lad, he'll be up for the Spurs game, i'd love for you and him to meet up for a chat and for you to share your views with him.

Doesn't matter where you live and how many games you get to all the exiled lads, for me supporting a club is abou whats in your heart, if little chris has some fans to take an issue with m=why not go round a few bars on match days, and have a word eith the lads watching in bars a quarter of a mile from the SOL?

You'd never do that though, cos it's real life, not hiding behind a keyboard, pretending to be all high and mighty, when your a compulsive liar, outed many times, trying to play the big man.

Yeah I try to keep my head down too but for some reason most of my mates are Gas Heads. Just wish one of these sides would get promoted to the premier league so I could go and watch the lads
 
was at both those games, talk about different emotions afterwards, remember there must have been 12,00 plus sunderland fans at wrexham jumping around to rumours about results elsehwere, man what a long ride back knowing we were'nt going up
carddiff game was chaos trying to get into the match, bobbies kept fans out of city till 2pm, charges pushed up for their last match to cash in on the hordes down there, got thumped off a police inspector and told to go to back of the line after getting pushed out, still managed to get in though, then on to roker on the monday night, was supposed to do nightshift but there was'nt a snowballs chance of me going in, got off the bus and ran from the uni all the way to the ground, scraped into the fulwell to see the boys gain their rightful place, fantastic!!!

My best away game was the 7-0 at Cambridge in the League Cup. Peter Reids last win in charge of the lads. Was a fantastic away game, pub after pub after pub outside the away end.
 
big chris, there is more to life than football. You don't choose to live somewhere simply because a set of 25 men play a game once every week, there are many more factors than that! Please stop spouting off these bigoted comments.

There's probably enough people to fill the SoL and SJP twice over that have moved away from the NE for economic or other reasons. I moved away to join the army and serve my country. So because I decided to serve my country, see a bit of the world, marry a Dorset girl and make a better life for myself, I'm not welcome to the SoL as a lifelong Sunderland fan, despite the fact that I have spent a small fortune going to home and away games over the years that has directly contributed to the clubs finances?

There are no doubt, hundreds, if not thousands of SAFC fans serving in the armed forces and the last time I checked, there was no naval base, no air base and no army garrison in the City of Sunderland. So because they live away from the NE they are not welcome either?

I am absolutely disgusted by your comments Chris. You should hang your head in shame!

The thieving welsh gets also put the prices up from £8 to £12 when they realised how many SAFC fans were coming down.

Somehow a gate fell away from its hinges allowing quite a few to get in free of charge. Despite my protestations about wanting to pay my way I was devastated to be pushed thru and into the ground.


Coach even got us back to park lane for the last bus home. Obviously broke a few speeding laws
