What would worry me about Bendtner is that he's been fed by a team with some of the best players in Europe, yet he still couldn't score very many. Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas, Jack Wilshere and so on. Now if you can't bag goals with players like that giving you support, then when CAN you score?

I know a lot of his Arsenal appearances were subs, and he'll get more starts and game time at SAFC, but considering that he's lost the support of top, top players like that, I think those two elements will cancel each other out, and he probably won't score many more than he normally does. He could be a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 striker.

And we can't exactly say it's a confidence thing. The guy thinks he's a god.

If he gets SOME goals and assists though, then it's better than nothing. I just wonder where he's going to be played. Can't really have Sessegnon behind the striker anymore (arguably his most lethal position) if it's Gyan and Bendtner.

Sess best position is wide left, and that is where he will go.

Play Bendtner just in front of Gyan, with Larssons delivery and Sess cutting in fro the left, i don't care what anyone says, i like he look of that, very much.

There couldnt have been any real chance of Newcastle landing him as he was having a medical at Fulham. It reaks of Ashley making it look like he was going to spend £10 million plus but in reality he knew all along they wouldnt get him but it may keep the fans off his back for a bit longer as they thought he was actually trying for players. It was similar with N'zogbia last January, £10 & 12 million bids but with 15 mins to go, again it showed that they we willing to spend but again in reality, no chance the deal would have been done.

Hes taking you guys for a ride Geordies!

Fact

The majority of sensible toon fans know this and would like Bendtner in our team. We just don't have that many sensible fans :p swap owners pls???

LOL, don't worry yourself Chappers, he isn't your player so you can sleep at night now.

He ****s all over any striker at NUFC for natural talent and ability and you know it. A good run in a team that is currently creating hatfulls of chances as we are will be the making of him, great no risk signing.

probably because they never passed him the ball.
And were passing it among themselves.

Nice try to find a negative though, you off back to discuss Ruiz?

I don't know it though. You cannot possibly deny that he hasn't scored many goals in the amount of apps he's had, despite getting fed by some of the best players in Europe. This isn't me purposely trying to find a negative. It's a FACT.

And he'll probably do well. I just don't expect him to suddenly become prolific when he's never, ever had a prolific record in any club he's played for. The fact that he's had roughly the same 1 in 4 goalscoring record in Arsenal, Birmingham AND the Denmark national team isn't a coincidence. He might do a little better at Sunderland, maybe 10-12 goals this season, but there's absolutely nout to suggest that he'll score more than that.

10-12 goals and a few assists though, and he'll turn out to be a canny loan signing imo. Still decent, just not amazing, that's all.

and you lot wouldn't sell your right knacker if you had a 10-12 goal a season striker? Ba looks a cracking buy for you lot mind. Getting jealous we didn't sign him.

If there was a smilie in your post, i adblocked the lot after the 1-0 defeat, was sick of that dancing man, and without smilies content on the net is hard to decipher from being serious and being sarcastic.

I said he ****s all over any striker at NUFC for natural talent and ability, do you not agree. Which one of your goal machines is better then, give us a laugh.

The fact is your strike force is the cheapest and most fragile in the league.

Best is going to be a 10-12+ goal striker this season if he gets enough starts. I genuinely believe that. He's scored 8 goals in his last 13 apps and 2 goals in his 2nd app this season. For everyone criticising the guy, the fact is, almost everytime he gets a start he seems to score goals. In fact, he has a better goal to app ratio than Carroll before he was sold.

Give him time mate. I still think it's down to ramadan, but we'll have to wait and see. His first few games were ****e, but he looked markedly better in his last game. If he's even better still in his next game, then he'll be heading towards his good form again. He did great to set up Best for his second goal against Fulham, and he even hit one against the woodwork towards the end of the game, so it's only a matter of time before he starts knocking them in. How many he knocks in, I don't know.

I don't know really. I don't care about 'natural talent and ability'. Bendtner can have all the 'natural talent' in the world, but if he continues his 1 in 4 ratio, I'd rather have someone else.

He ****s all over Ranger, Ameobi and Lovenkrands, certainly. When it comes to the goalscoring ability of Ba, Best and maybe even Sammy Ameobi, we'll have to wait and see. It's too early to tell.

If you seriously yhink a Best/Ba combo is in the same league as a Bendtner/Gyan one, potentially, then i seriously gave you too much credit mate.

Oh, thats allright then, it's cos of religion and I just thought it was cos he's ****e. Ah well you learn something new everyday.

Sammy Ameobi maybe better than Bendtner, h ah ah aha ha ahaaaa, thanks Chappers, I asked you to give us a laugh not totally piss ourselves, thats made my night.
You really are the most biased poster on here, either that or you know **** all about football.

Well who the hell knows? Really? You cannot deny that Ba scored 7 in 12 at West Ham, and Best has scored 8 in 13. We have yet to see them get a full season of playing time together, so it's impossible to say for sure, but this could be the season where people realise that these two can actually score far more than people expected.

I'm not just going to automatically write them off for Gyan and Bendtner when Gyan has been looking poor lately and Bendtner has never had a better than 1 in 4 record, am I? Would you do that in my shoes? They MIGHT end up much better for all I know, but right now, no one does.

Oh, thats allright then, it's cos of religion and I just thought it was cos he's ****e. Ah well you learn something new everyday.

Well let's wait and see how much his daily fasting effected his game. Ramadan is over now, and by the time QPR comes around he would have been eating normally for almost a fortnight, including pre-match meals. Let's see how he does in the next few games. If I'm wrong and he still ****ing sucks, I'll take it.
