HCST Statement – 24/08/2018 The result and atmosphere at our game against Rotherham earlier this week was a welcome relief from what are testing times being a Hull City AFC supporter. However we are concerned by the ongoing silence from the club on certain issues of major importance to supporters. These concerns include: · Ticketing, specifically the proposed re-introduction of concessions and the club's dialogue with the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) on this topic. The club stated that this was expected to be concluded by the end of July, but there has been no word on this since then or indeed for many months. · The new 'matchday card'. We spoke to the club when this was announced and both parties agreed that there should have been a longer period for supporters to be able to get these cards without paying a fee. Since that discussion however, there has been no further update or action. · Supporter Dialogue. There appeared to be some promising progress on this in the spring. Since then, the club have talked of holding less frequent full supporters committee meetings, offset by more regular catch-ups with individual supporter reps. To date, nothing has taken place and so it has been several months since the club met with supporters in any official or documented capacity. · Club branding. Some changes have been made and we are pleased with this but we don't think it's unreasonable for fans to expect to be kept up to date on remaining elements such as the official website URL. An official update on progress with the crest redesign process would also be welcome. · The owners' ongoing intentions for the club, such as whether or not they still intend to sell it. · The owners' ongoing intentions for the club, such as whether or not they still intend to sell it. Last week we wrote to the club expressing our concerns and requesting an update on the aforementioned issues. For transparency, our letter can be found here. No direct club response has been received to date, so we can only assume that the club have decided to assume the familiar position of ignoring supporters' concerns. We have and will continue to liaise with the relevant authorities, the Football League and supporter bodies such as the FSF on these matters. The FSF have promised to supply a summary of the discussion which their representatives have held so far with Hull City. Clearly it would be conducive to a much healthier relationship if the club itself could provide this update to supporters. In addition, the FSF have offered to facilitate a survey for Hull City fans to give their views on these key issues. This again would be in lieu of the club releasing the full details of their own ballot results. HCST will continue to work on behalf of members and supporters to try and resolve these long-standing issues. Dialogue must continue in order to improve the supporter experience. As always, we welcome any feedback or suggestions from supporters. You can e-mail us on [email protected] or contact us via our social media accounts or website. The trust has no power re the allams, they don’t give a **** about the supporters cliques. They show their arses on the FSF. Only direct action will make them think. Blocking his car in-protest at business premises-disrupt events they’re at etc These actions will annoy them as they’ll lose face among their croneys..............not that I condone it.. #were weak as piss
there's been no communication because Madge isn't visiting the Parachute Payment Building anytime soon
This promise of liaising with supporters from the beginning IMO was to do as little as possible and drag out them having to give in to supporters demands. This is the main reason why I cancelled my membership, they are treating supporters like we are all stupid, and cannot see through what they are doing. This will be stretched out until the final parachute payment is in, and then I think they will finally actively try to sell the club once they have covered their loans.
I really believed that but we now need a Maguire sale to go through (and Jarrod to have a poor first half season)
What has happened with the crest design? I refused to even read about the process because I just found it all depressing. Surely he's managed to engineer the one he wanted in the first place by now? Seriously, where are we in the process?
Apparently his preferred option now is a tiger's head with written around it "1904, 1904, we've been Hull Tigers since 1904!".
We're still only part way through the process. The process of Ehab ****ing us over. with his silly games and his ****ish behaviour. Sorry to say, it's got a while longer to go yet.
I fear that is exactly the case. No way the Allams will walk away from the prospect of another £8-10 million from a potential Maguire sale, and no way a potential buyer will be prepared to factor that potential revenue into a purchase price. Wouldn't be surprised if they also have a ridiculous valuation of Bowen included in their sale price too ... even though, were they to stay, they would likely end up seeing him go for nothing when his contract is up or else selling him before then for way less than he's worth. All complications we could do without, and reasons I'm not confident of them going any time soon. We need a buyer who is absolutely minted and is desperate to own a football club.
Is it the one the fans voted for or some **** they make up claiming it’s what the fans voted for? They could come up with some absolute **** if they think it’s funny then claim it’s what we voted for.
The vote was made up of several different elements, rather than voting for a full design. One of the elements was the name Hull City.
