Terrible terrible game. Thought Newcastle had the rub of the green with the ref’s decisions too.
Cardiff will have to step it up, like you say. Really poor.
Penalty was correct decision, mind. Can't believe they let Kenedy take it..... He was a feckin' walking disaster area all game <laugh>

I agree with you all. Bloody awful game.....and,silly me, I was looking forward to it. Looked like two teams fighting it out at the bottom of Div 2. Very short on skill.
Why didn't Shelvey take the penalty?

But two things stood out to me.....Visit Malaysia on the shirts and visit Vietnam...along the boards. Question is.....WHY?

Yeah, no doubt about it.
However, I thought the ref was quick to give Newcastle the benefit of the doubt on many other decisions. A few free kicks they looked for and conned the ref with on several occasions.

Reactions: Spur of the Moment
Wenger in. Arsenal have been comically bad. First an interesting decision not to run leads to a 2 v. 1. Then a comedy Aubamayang miss. Then another sad excuse for defending.

(edit) Then another comedy miss, this time from Mikhigettiredofspellinghisname.

And then a fine goal from the same player. A hammering suddenly turns into a very entertaining game.

And it's 2-2. You have to feel for those poor Chelsea fans at this point, who must have been expecting a carefree day a few minutes ago. Schadenfreude is of course what you have to feel for them.

And now it's Iwobi's turn to miss an open net from point blank range. It should be 2-5.

Goons v the Spam next Saturday, something will have to give. 0-0 would be ideal, but with those two defences no goals is more than unlikely.

Anybody notice Man City's opening fixtures? Is this a joke or has somebody been nobbling the sweet FA? The opening 8(?) fixtures are against promoted teams and those at the bottom......

Arsenal followed by the three newly promoted sides from the last two seasons.
That does seem rather advantageous, but it means that they'll probably have hard runs.
If they coincide with Champions League fixtures, then it's not what they'd want.
