You can never determine what a quality signing is until they've had chances.

We never knew someone like Alli for just £5m would become one of the best players at our club. Equally we could never have predicted that Janssen would've been so poor after he lit up the Eredivisie.

We signed Sissoko off the back of a great European Championships, Levy/ Poch obviously hoped we'd be getting that Sissoko, not the dud version.
We'd all seen how Sissoko played for Newcastle. Their supporters couldn't believe their luck. Many of them ended up in hospital from laughing so hard!

All of Newcastle played poorly, it's why they were relegated. Pool still spent £25m on Wijnaldum and we paid £30m for Sissoko. They were the best of a bad bunch, we obviously hoped that Sissoko could raise his game for us like he did for France. Unfortunately he didn't, you win some you lose some. IF Sissoko played for us like he did for France in that tournament, £30m would've been a bargain. It was risk that didn't pay off. He's not actually a terrible squad player to have but he should be nowhere near the XI in big games that's for sure.

Amazing how Spuds were saying what a great player Toby is. Now he's leaving, he's a has been on his last legs. Same as Walker. He was one of the best full backs in the world when he was with them. Now he's an ok defender, prone to a brain fart. <laugh> Stupid kants.

No one tucks up United like our Danny Boy!
<laugh>

Come on then mate what's the going rate, given you could effectively keep him with the stroke of a pen for two more years and he's rated as one of the best centre halves on the planet.

I'm assuming £75m is a fair price given what LFC paid for that *****donkey.

I'll bet you a month's wages he won't come to United for more than £75m.

A player in Toby’s position, able to wind down his contract and leave on a free is worth £10m, tops.

And even that would be taking the piss.

Apart from when you said 'Levy will sell him abroad, there's no way he'll go to Utd' of course. <ok>

You're missing out the bit that was heavily implicit in my statement.

That's where the misunderstanding has crept into your posting, Pix.
