Leitner played well when he came on, but he wasn't all that in preseason so I'm not surprised he didn't start. I did expect McLean to start, though.

I thought Tettey was very good. I would like to see him turn up field with the ball on occasion and attack the opponents central defence.

Onel could easily have had a hat trick. He was just outside the far post with a shot he could have put in the net.

From what I saw today, it's up to DF to get it right now, because he has the players to do the job. And I think he will.

Spot on CS. I can see Leitner but not McClean, who looked sharp in pre-season and is our left footed free-kick taker. Agree also about Onel's almost hat-trick and he's been on fire. Rhodes looked good and almost scored twice, but didn't have enough service. He will score more though. Had we gone for Pukki next to Trybull and McLean on his right (like pre-season), we could well have have won this one.

We certainly have the players now and have yet to see what Buendia can add. With Lewis back, we'll be tighter in defence and more threatening on the overlap as well.

Was it Rhodes who headed the ball at the keeper from about 5 meters? Who was the NCFC player rampaging through midfield and opened up their defence? I couldn’t distinguish them from the Sky video.

I thought last season was patience and rebuilt.

Is this another rebuild again? Because I thought you thought the last rebuild was great? That worked very well, we finished below Ipswich.

I thought he needed 3 windows and a season to make his mark on the team.

He's made a skid mark.
