You do talk some crap at times, Ben. Politics is not something you hear being discussed much in my local.
Especially after a former Labour councillor and trade unionist (and Blunts fan) passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. Someone, who despite my disagreeing with on a lot of things, I had a lot of time for as he genuinely tried to make a difference and despite being in a lot of discomfort did until he passed away aged 72. If you read it properly, it referred to coppers telling pubs to take flags down. Which theybrefused o do, upsetting the coppers concerned. I didn't mention banned as if that was the case the clowns would have had the power to enforce it.

Full of Man Utd fans, of which he is one despite being from Leeds. Y.ou can still see the faded Union Flags he got a customer to paint on before the Olympics in his previous pub to upset the copper.
The landlord at the time of the United FC fans is out of the trade now. A propensity for living beyond his means and paying more staff than necessary to enable him to spend most of his time on the other side of the bar saw to that. Though he must be doing alright as he is toddling round in a second hand Bentley.
