Bit arrogant and sort sighted that mate. Someone's sorts your mail and no one else sees it = hidden away and easier to ignore (note, I didn't say easy) Modern day it's on social media resulting in it being in the papers and on tv/radio. You could choose to ignore these outlets but everyone you know sees them and it is therefore unavoidable.
Not sure how somebody tracking down your home address to push through some hate mail is easier to ignore. It means the culprits were far more motivated in their abuse to follow through with sending a letter than the nutters who sit at a computer and press a few buttons. I'd say for the players on the end of hate mail it was far more 'damaging' because it was far more 'real' as they'd been picked out specially and not just the victim of keyboard warriors who are easier to ignore - imo.
its easier to do that with todays players as most is on internet lol distance yourself from it problem solved. egos wouldn't allow that though, they like to hear how wonderful they are spending our hard earned cash for being ****e.
That's a different issue beyond simply ignoring. Your verging into stalking territory. Things you will have seen in my last comment, I said easier, not easy. Things are impossible to ignore nowadays.
It's not just the internet, that's just where it stems from It's easier nowadays to ignore the initial comments but much worse on a bigger and wider scale
I think we just have to do the old - agree to disagree - on this one mate. But just as an example Klopp said the other day the best thing he did was not join social media. He says in that way he doesn't know or see what people are saying about him, so doesn't worry about it unless the journos bring it to his attention. If you watch his interviews he's always being asked what he thinks about what Mourinho, Conte etc. etc have said about him and he always replies with ''I don't know what they are saying, you will have to tell me''.
So you think, by not joining any social media, he's oblivious to what's being said? You genuinely believe him when he says he doesn't know? Of course he knows
jb said agree to disagree lol. reverse your comment, by ignoring social media as you alleged, was it easier to ignore they wouldn't know whats said about them by post etc as well?
I do believe him. Unlike those glued to their phones and ipads all day and night, he has a life. Also, his face has genuine reactions, good or bad, so he would give himself away if he was lying.
Mate, I don't have Twitter. I don't read papers. I don't watch the news. I've not listened to TalkSport or Five Live since the PL season finished. I don't follow football stuff on Facebook. Only place I've seen anything is on here and comments whilst out. I know about it without looking for it! Players are trained to deal with interviews etc nowadays, they now how to act. There is literally zero chance he doesn't know imo. I'm going out now so agree to disagree as you suggested
Just another small example - when Wijnaldum went home for the birth of his child, the journos asked him what he thought about the new baby [something like that] and he said ''the baby is born? What is it boy or girl?'' They told him and told him the name etc. he said ''nobody tells me anything'' the journos said ''it's in todays papers'' - he shrugged. The baby was born either one or two days previously, the news would have been everywhere, the players would all have known. If you don't go looking and nobody tells you, you don't know.
just a quick adder. hate mail can be hidden form family and dealt with. Karius cannot hide his family form the line of journos asking snide questions or from the trolls. I'm willing to bet his girlfriend or whatever got the same hate etc etc. If you are say a kid of 5 or 6 it might pass you by if daddy plays football but if you are 13 or 14 and daddy's a manager getting absolute dogs abuse it must affect.
You fell for that? Most couples know what sex the baby is long before the birth and agree a name, he will have had a call when his partner went into labour and would be fully aware of the baby's time of birth, weight etc. Went home for the birth of his child, 2 days late You have been well wummed mate
???? What ARE you talking about. The questions were asked to KLOPP- did he know that WIJNALDUM'S baby was born? KLOPP replied ''no I didn't know GINI'S baby was born. Is it a girl or a boy? What has HE called the baby?'' OF COURSE WIJNALDUM MUST HAVE KNOWN WHAT THE SEX WAS - IF THEY, AS A COUPLE, HAD DECIDED TO FIND OUT. OF COURSE THEY HAD A NAME FOR THE BABY. OF COURSE HE WAS AT THE BIRTH OF HIS OWN CHILD. KLOPP, HOWEVER, WASN'T. PLEASE TRY READING THE FLOW OF COMMENTS BEFORE MAKING STUPID REPLIES
