Queens Park Rangers are one club who have had a surprisingly quiet transfer window this summer, especially with the appointment of a new manager.
So far, the only player to be brought in by Steve McClaren is Toni Leistner.
But one man the R’s are reportedly interested in is Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Vidar Orn Kjartansson, according to the Mirror’s live blog (20/07/18, 20.18pm).
6ft 1 Kjartansson scored 10 times in 20 appearances for Tel Aviv last season but first came to everyone’s attention in 2013/14 when he scored 31 goals in 33 matches for Valerenga Oslo.
He accepted a move to China after that and continued his fine goalscoring form before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
QPR will apparently face competition from West Brom and Middlesbrough for the striker’s signature who are all interested in bringing the Icelandic forward in.
But would he be a good signing for QPR?
