Again ..................... QPR ‘THEY CAN’T AFFORD THE RISK’ – QPR EYEING DEAL FOR 6FT 1 STRIKER: THE VERDICT please log in to view this image Published 16 mins ago on 24/07/2018 By Louie Chandler Queens Park Rangers are one club who have had a surprisingly quiet transfer window this summer, especially with the appointment of a new manager. So far, the only player to be brought in by Steve McClaren is Toni Leistner. But one man the R’s are reportedly interested in is Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Vidar Orn Kjartansson, according to the Mirror’s live blog (20/07/18, 20.18pm). 6ft 1 Kjartansson scored 10 times in 20 appearances for Tel Aviv last season but first came to everyone’s attention in 2013/14 when he scored 31 goals in 33 matches for Valerenga Oslo. He accepted a move to China after that and continued his fine goalscoring form before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv. QPR will apparently face competition from West Brom and Middlesbrough for the striker’s signature who are all interested in bringing the Icelandic forward in. But would he be a good signing for QPR?
I believe we are trialing a new defender .................... seems impressive, could be Swedish l think ........ Mota Busen???
Our budget is so restricted that we had to let the guy playing the fanfare go (so we never hear about incomings until they're here). The supermarket chain fullback and the striker from... ahem... Iceland sound good from my extensive knowledge of reading the few posts on here about them!
True. Let's hope that we can sign Trent Sainsbury as we need another experienced Central Defender. Vidar Orn Kjartansson looks useful if we could get him.
Picked up this from LFW's....... Although both Smyth the younger and Eze only have a year left on their contracts the club has the option of another year so effectively they both have 2 years left on their current contracts, whilst both negotiating new deals........ Might not be much but it is news......
News from Sainsbury’s that we are open to home deliveries and young fresh produce is our favourite. Though there are discussions in the restaurant over the virtues of a Derbyshire sausage versus an Icelandic delicacy!
Amazing how when you get to a certain age, things start to slow you down, you start sliding down the divisons but then .................. your Retirement Benefit kicks in and you get signed by Chelsea to sit on your ass for a whole year as a 'third choice' keeper and get paid shedloads for it. Good luck to him. Wish the building trade here in Oz treated their senior tradies with as much respect and coin. I just get told l'm too old, charge like a wounded bull, take too long to complete a task and need the additional toilet breaks so l don't sh!t myself.
Can’t be much fun diving about all day at the age of 38. Regardless of what he’s being paid the man clearly has no dignity.
But he will be forever remembered for throwing a goal in v USA at a World Cup, so he’ll be carrying that until his dying day. Poor lamb.
Really, might send my son over. Mind you, builders seem to be pretty busy here too, he’s working 6 days most weeks.
send him over apparently 30 000 tradesman needed to build the govts 100000 affordable homes on top of however many unaffordable homes need to be built
