So the only striker that can play in a 4-2-3-1 is a target man? You'd better bring that up at the next LMA meeting. Some of these guys haven't been doing it right.
Why did chelsea sign Giroud? Please explain.
After morata. After costa. After drogba.
Do you see a pattern?

Who does mourinho sign? Lukaku. Who Chelsea wanted.

I'm going to enjoy the 6ft 3 mandzukIc play for Croatia today.

Why they need a 6ft 3 player I'll never know. Surely someone small and nippy would suit them more?
Same with juventus. Weird innit.

You didn't. And I didn't say you did. But you spoke about a target man. They aren't usually Messi sized.

They’re not Messi sized, but they’re also not immobile lumps either. Parkin apart from being athletically challenged had good feet, was physical and had decent technical ability. That ‘sort’ of player would compliment our current two of Dicko and Campbell (excluding Keane as he’s always injured and just not good enough).

Because they've all scored a lot of goals. If they'd scored barely anything, they wouldn't have bothered.

Manchester City, meanwhile, rely on Sergio Aguero. And they won the league. The point isn't that size isn't a useful asset, it's that it isn't the only thing that makes a good lone striker.

In a pairing, on the other hand, you only have to look at Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki. One player to hold the ball up, the other to play off the shoulder. That works. I just don't think it does with a lone striker.

Yes, to play with them in the same team, not by themselves. Dicko's energy and work rate would be better utilised alongside somebody else. We'll see I suppose in the upcoming season.

We’ll be playing a lone striker, with Bowen and Milinković providing support from a narrow wing position. At present we haven’t got an attacking solution to provide them with ball in the final third, nor for them to have a crossing option whether that’s an aerial cross or to feet.

Tell me what teams in the championship have an aguero size forward as their main striker.
