Why not? I bet we accepted the first offer. Maguire was always capable of going to a much better team than Leicester. In fact I expect there’ll be a host of clubs lining up to sign him this Summer. He’ll go to a top club either in this country or abroad. Van Dijk has set the pricing standard for excellent centre halves.
 
Really strange few days signing good young players on long contracts.
I'm already a bit tipsy so bare with me but have we got buyers lined up

Imho we couldn't/didn't do that and got loans instead because of the big contracts of Dawson etc.
Even though we have less money we are now able to rebuild with more sensible contracts.
Maybe

Got to say the negative person in me is sat there saying 200k for a young lad.....he must be **** otherwise they'd not let him go.....hope i'm wrong!

Thing is, I remember feeling confident last season having seen Hector, Aina et al in early season and don't want to get myself all excited too soon :-S

The club didn't tell us anything. The rumoured fees are just that, guesswork.

Chances are we sold them both for £10m.

In fairness to Darnbrough, these look like 4 good signings.
