.So isit weird when people talk to babies who can't respond, or say, to someone in a coma?
well i'd dispute that most people talk to their pets like children* but even excepting that , speech is just a means of communication and is used for the same reason whichever species ,including humans, you are dealing with.
*obviously i do as shown by my earlier post
There’s nothing weird about talking to animals. Especially when many can provide better conversation than humans these days.
I am more concerned that my mutt can spell better than me.
matth - I'm guessing you don't own a pet, could be wrong. If someone got you a dog as a present, would you not speak to it?
