The first part certainly isn't. There's a big link between those who harm animals when young to serial killers.

 

actually it's true...some of the most violent children I work with are cruel as **** to animals.
Criminal psychologists who have studied violent murders, rapists and serial killers discovered that a disproportionately high number started off being cruel to animals at a young age.

 

it's fairly logical that the urge to cause physical pain to other creatures exhibits itself early and that "lesser" animals are an easier target at a young age.

As two other posters have already confirmed and i can guarantee you, it is not bullshit, it is a well known fact in criminal psychology that people that harm animals go on to harm humans. It indicates bad psychological signs if that cruelty is committed by a child.

 

I do agree with this criminal psychology study.

However playing devils advocate, If you could give me the statistics of number of children who harm animals who then go onto harm humans please.

It could very well be that all psychos started off by harming animals when they were children is similar to the all racists voted brexit but most brexit voters aren't racist

The evidence is rather compelling Bobby - has more to do with the fact that true psycopaths see animals (and indeed people) not as individual creatures or beings with feelings, emotions and their own lives - but more as expendable items that are erely there as temporary peripherals to be used in wayy to enhance the enjoyment / life experience of that individual ...
