England have literally done exactly that this world cup.
In a meaningful match, that actually matters. Those guys played as a reserve outfield in a match that meant little, which you rarely have the luxury of having (and if you do, then it hardly matters who the players are anyway).
And even then, Welbeck still didn't start!
I will await the question that Southgate decides Welbeck is the answer to. (Or Delph, or Alexander-Arnold, or Jones. Or even Vardy - although I personally would select Vardy. It just needs to be one.)
Has anyone got any suggestions of how Young or Rose can deal with Cuadrado tomorrow?
Could we love the Japanese more......I think not.

Don't think I've ever been so gutted watching two teams I have no connection with (spent two days in Japan, one music festival in Belgium). The way me and my stepdad cheered during Japan's second, it was as though we were watching Saints.
Only upside I can think of is that (on paper), Belgium should stand more chance of sending Neymar home.
I’d like to think that *should* England beat Colombia we could deal with either of these two, they’re not great are they?Sweden 0-0 Switzerland
Switzerland defending shaky but Sweden shooting woeful so far. Only 9 minutes played.
