England have literally done exactly that this world cup.

In a meaningful match, that actually matters. Those guys played as a reserve outfield in a match that meant little, which you rarely have the luxury of having (and if you do, then it hardly matters who the players are anyway).

And even then, Welbeck still didn't start!

I will await the question that Southgate decides Welbeck is the answer to. (Or Delph, or Alexander-Arnold, or Jones. Or even Vardy - although I personally would select Vardy. It just needs to be one.)

Touch early to be saying that Brendy. The answer to that question may well be coming up, as soon as today.
 
Don't think I've ever been so gutted watching two teams I have no connection with (spent two days in Japan, one music festival in Belgium). The way me and my stepdad cheered during Japan's second, it was as though we were watching Saints.

Only upside I can think of is that (on paper), Belgium should stand more chance of sending Neymar home.
