Will be interesting to see what side Gareth puts out. Hopefully he won't tinker too much to apease some of the players egos - thinking that we are out here in Russia and now we be qualified we should get a run out! Doesn't look like that will be the case but you never know!

Keep it going England.!And Gareth not too many changes we should keep the winning mentality and look to top the group.

I hope we avoid Columbia. Senegal or Japan would do nicely...

I think he needs to make a couple of changes. It was an excellent performance and fantastic result but for me Loftus-Cheek and Sterling stood out as poor performers in what was otherwise a wonderful team performance. Rashford needs a run out and should replace Sterling but I am unsure as to who would come in for Loftus-Cheek, a fit again Dele Ali one would expect.

Agree stick. Rashford and Ali to start. Rashford and Lingard on together preferably. Not too sure about Young. Over rated in my book.

Hate to bum up (ooooh errrr missus!) an Englishman again however, further to his comment about Argentina's defence, Tim Vickery (resident of Rio De Janeiro and contributor to BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSport) judged that South America's best chance of winning the 2018 World Cup lay with Uruguay.

The obvious change that needs to be made is to drop Raheem Sterling. In the last game he hit the goalkeeper point blank, with Stones nodding in the rebound, and only had one shot the rest of the game. His record of two goals from 40 appearances is rubbish for a striker and he has not scored in three years for England. Give Rashford a start against Belgium – he created more chances coming off the bench in the first game than Sterling has in two.

Since when has Raheem Sterling been a striker? when and who decided that ?

Never has been nor will be however he is more effective coming of a flank from
midfield.

I do agree about Rashford playing and linking up with Kane.

Certainly agree there, Sterling is just not performing. Was very disappointed with Loftus-Cheek against Panama, did virtually nothing? Yep, need Dele Alli and Rashford back, for sure. Both Senegal and Colombia would be very dangerous opponents IMHO.

Uruguay play portugal, the south americans will win that .
England / Belgium will be interesting , both would prefer to finish second , so if no goals , england would need a red card to ensure that!
The team england would want to avoid out of that group is colombia , ,senegal would be a real test as well , think japan would be the easier of the three .
Spain will dispose of the hosts , who were shown up today as an aging and limited group of players .
Uruguay seem to be warming up !

Two yellows would suffice

I m guessing you have a bet on Uruguay rudebwoy? I m not so sure Uruguay are certain to beat Portugal. They have a habit of getting the job done and won the Euros so don't think confidence is lacking especially with twinkle toes in the side! He didn't have the greatest game against Iran and that could be the worry for Uruguay! The Portugese love their play acting too and even with VAR doesn't seem to limit their ability in that department so could be a contentious game...don't be surprised if they sneak past your lot

i like uruguay, they are a small proud nation , with progressive govt , that helps its people , they play great football , they have won two world cups and two olympic golds , for a population of 4 million something good must be going on , they were unlucky last time in the semis , they have more about them than ronaldos lot , who frankly scrapped past wales in the euros and are over reliant on twinkle toes , who should not be playing , so much for VAR .
I backed them before the start , and wouldn't swap them for anyone !
