To be fair, @James Dutton did come here to open dialogue with Royston. He's had his past at Millwall dragged backwards forwards and sideways, which for everyone else is irrelevant. He's also been called narcissistic, pompous among otger bits (to be honest I skip a lot of the 'banter' between the two though it takes up pages and pages now) while he called Royston a few belittling comments in return. He also claimed on CL that complaints he got there were from posters on from here. The only two I have identified on CL are myself and Elfs, and neither of us have said a single word in anger about Mr Seed, here or there. Enough the pair of you. It's not necessary. Can we argue about the football without the snide digs?

Well said Ken. Dick Plum also had a go at me there but we seem to be getting on better now, hopefully.

As I've said, Millwall fan between the ages of 6 and 9 or ten doesn't make me a 'lifelong Millwall fan'.

It would be good to comeback and talk about football, if Royston could move on, that would help.

I just don't get this.

After months and months of virtually nothing, we finally get an official statement drafted jointly by the Club itself and the new investors.
The statement says that a take-over is proceeding and its completion is expected.

I would have expected many Charlton supporters who want Duchatelet to sell the Club would be happy to read this news, and be optimistic about a new future. But instead we seem to have little but ridicule and cynicism regarding the Australian Consortium - to the point where they are seemingly being painted as worse than Duchatelet before they have done one single thing.

I do not know, but I hope and believe the majority of Charlton supporters will not be feeling cynical, or want to shoot down the incoming administration before it has even completed the take-over.
I think they will be willing to support the new owners even if the beginning of this season is disrupted and our promotion chances are damaged or even scuppered because of the time the whole business is taking.

Lardi,
I have the same feeling for the Aussies as I would if it were announced that Muzza was buying the Club back, can't help feeling that it is being done on the cheap.

I will respectfully ignore your advice Ken, good bloke that you are. Just skip the stuff you don't like.

Dutton the pompous windbag came on here with a purpose. He is a cry baby, pressing the "Report" button then going back to the small group on CL he is trying to ingratiate himself with.

He got it wrong on the Aussies but it served its purpose - raising his profile is what he craves.

I always try and skip the stuff I don't like. It was merely a request for peace in our time <peacedove>

People's priorities & spare time time in life change, but we all know @DonCorleone is a good bloke.

Unlike...

Roland Duchatelet made changing priorities easy for thousands...

'It's not all about winning'....Experiencing the joy of his 'Dancing Club' after losing to some tin pot 3rd Division side isn't for everyone.

Why do you persist with calling me Plum? You play the victim card but you purposely post something that is provocative, antagonistic. Why?
I am with other posters on here, on a Charlton Football forum I just want to post about football.

There are many who would conclude that James is a WUM, pure and simple. I, on the other hand, think he's a warm and wonderful human being who is full of bonhomie and football knowledge, which he is about to impart to us even as I speak.
