In the Chelsea reserves rotting away like he is now. I don't mind permanent or a loan deal marra. He is the "Fox in the box" that we are lacking IMO. Get him signed Brucey!
His career stats are good too Bobby. He's scored 23 goals in 59 matches, since he signed a pro contract.
Sturridge is not exactly small at 6' 1". Granted, there are some big ****ers playing in the PL in defence and attack, but from what I've seen of him, he's quick and strong, causing defenders all sorts of problems. In the 12 matches for Bolton he was fouled 23 times = 23 free kicks or penalties
Sturridge IS a beast.
But, don't believe we have any chance of getting him. He's in Chelsea's plans for the short and long term. Terry and Lampard have both lobbied for his inclusion when his 3 game ban is over. They love him. Fully expect to see him starting in two weeks time.
Torres is crap (never thought I'd say that), Drogba is out and Sturridge is presently The Man.
Think he's going to light it up over the next month and secure a spot in the starting XI
