Disagree that Southgate is a yes man, having been around the set up a while I think he's more likely to do things his own way.
My opinion is you are being unfair on Southgate. I think he knows his own mind, and will have the players doing things his way. Whether that will work is another matter.
England went into a shell with Nigeria changes. Which is worrying. Time will tell and he may do ok, but he is the epitome of a yes man and always has been imo. Never known him to have an original thought, in interviews and that. Always looks to be reading a script
Yeah time will tell. We will have to agree to disagree tbh. For me his appointment was all that's wrong with English football and why I lost interest tbh
Judge him by what happens on the pitch. That's all that matters, not how he comes across in the studio, how many newspapers he helps to sell with daft comments, or what soundbites he generates.
And this opinion has nothing to do with Welbeck's club ? Vardy would not have been effective in today's game imo.
Possibly Seriously, he couldn’t have done any worse than, ‘oops I’ve tripped over my own feet again’ Welbeck.
