Rose loftus-cheek walker sterling lingard bamidele young rashford welbeck Duncan and Saxton et al must be fuming
So this is the point where England lose all shape, and we learn nothing. I know it's a friendly, but any more than 3 subs is silly.
This late I agree. Not so fussed in October. It's typical behaviour, same **** different day for English football Read an interesting comment by Tony bellew that Sterling's tattoo was photographed at City but not a single **** was given. Comes to England duty and you'd think he shot some one. No wonder the players perform ****
Did anyone watch that conversation between lamps, Stevie G and Rio about why England do **** at major tournies? Thought it was fascinating incite , especially how style meant England always qualify but when the decent teams come up they are left chasing shadows
The press should just be told to **** off about his tattoo. I have some faith in the way Gareth Southgate handles that sort of stuff. The rest is up to the player. He's played okay today, not great but okay. Quite happy with the first half of this game, the manager seemed to have a plan. We haven't really turned up 2nd half.
Are you going to make a list of all the people of colour and say how racist cricket is ? Actually don't bother answering I'll just pop you back on Ignore.
I agree about the press stuff. It's always the same from rooney to sterling. Get behind the teat or **** off Not convinced with Southgate at all tbh
Southgate has them playing in a manner that suggests they all know what he expects of them individually and collectively. England haven't had that from a coach since Terry Venables imo. Venables probably had better players to work with though.
Not sure how you would shoe-horn Vardy into a set up like that tbh. He will be useful when we are pinned back by better sides, or when defending a lead imo.
My personal opinion with England is that the heirarchy always pressure the managers into playing to type eventually. Southgate fits the "yes sir, no sir" profile Likes of veneables and to a degree hoddle, imo, didn't fit as they were looking to add their own thing to proceedings
