It doesn't really matter who is captain until they bring in a sensible rule like only the captain is allowed to talk to the ref, anyone else gets booked for doing it.
Like rugby does. It would lay down clear rules for who can speak to the ref and end these unsavoury incidents where players surround the ref and/or badger him over decisions.
Didn't they have that rule in the Premier League a few years ago - only for Mark Clusterfuck to forget about it for one of our games against Man Utd by booking captain Luka Modric for speaking to him while he was chatting with non-captain Rio Ferdinand?
Yes, this game!! Surprisingly no mention in a BBC report of unsportsmanlike behaviour by United... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/9137317.stm
I don't think Harry will be collecting the trophy, but I do think there is a good chance that the Tottenham Captain will be presented with the world cup as I am backing France to win it.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/world-cup-heist-solved-52-12586650 Sounds pretty feasible, looks like they have got to the bottom of it. Love the floral Jules Rimet tributes at the funerals.
Or a club can enforce the rule themselves (another reason for the GK not being captain) , and fine players who mob swarm the officials etc.
What a shame!! No place for the great Iñaki Williams. I´d have him in ahead of Aspas, Lucas V and Ascensio as he is far more talented, and speedier than any of them.
FIFA aren't so bad, they're currently streaming the most fun I've had wearing trousers in the past four years...
Is Son South Korea's captain? Hang on, I see a future sporting trivia question here - particularly if at any time Jan takes over as Belgium captain which is not unlikely given the injury situation with Kompany - which is what team had four world cup captains playing for them?
Two teams managed to have three in 2006: Los Ladrones had Iker Casillas, Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham, while Milan had Cafu, Andriy Shevchenko and Johann Vogel
To the surprise of nobody, Roberto Mancini's first game in charge of Italy saw a recall for Mario Balotelli Should I mention this wasn't even Saudi Arabia's first team?
This would imply that Fazio is in Argentina's starting lineup while Otamendi remains on the bench I'm trying to work out if either would be an improvement on the other
