I actually enjoyed a lot of the matches....and the never say die attitude was a joy (Brentford at home).
I went to 5 away matches.....and in only one ( Forest) were we awful.
Burton we won.Millwall (we really should have drawn that (?Bidwell penalty)..and we never gave up.
Brentford and Reading:- we were never outplayed and a natural goalscorer would have given us 1 if not all 3 points.

I remember the JFH when we sat in fear, awaiting the inevitable opposition goal, because we were just never set up to score a goal at anytime unless Chery got a free kick.
Ollies teams really tried and played for the badge.
Last season I do not think I ever accused a single player of not trying... afew I did not think were good enough to play at Champioship level...but even they gave their all.

I never said that I thought Ollie was the answer to our problems. I do think this move was one season too early
Totally understand where you are coming from Beth however the stats don't lie. There is also the other side to the coin. The tinkering/Bizarre tactics/team changes/clean sheets. Maybe as you said we could have beat Reading and Co if he had keep messing around with the team.
Hollow was brought in to appease the fans. He was a stopgap until we got in a proper manager. I know a lot of QPR fans like him but if anyone is serious about our future and bringing back football, then he had to go.
Thanks Hollow but lets move on and get a proper manager.

'Shockingly poor football' - Am I the only person who enjoyed most of the football played this season. Lots of home wins against good sides, nearly always a ' never give up' attitude, youngsters coming through. To only name Preston at home and Leeds away doesn't tell the whole story. What about Wolves and Cardiff at home or Villa away?
Could throw that question back at you. Only naming 3 games that you say were Good!

Off top of my head.

Birmingham home and away
Wolves home and away
Villa away
Sheff united home
Fulham away
Reading at home

Oops that seems to be more than 3

So the mathematics say that 30 plus games were not to a good standard. I rest my case. Not arguing Beth but even those games it was majority long direct balls pumping it up that got results. There has been very very little positive football played under holloway

Anyone who thinks we have played good football this season quite literally shocks me! Went to 13 away games (I think) and about 4 home games. Not once did I stay til the final whistle! Why I here you ask??? Because it was ****e !!

Don't change the question bobmid...
You said could you name 3 that were good.
I could...off the top of my head.

Again off the top of my head I saw two absolutely, maybe 3 absolutely awful games from us....Forest twice and Barnsley....
I did not see Fulham at home

I saw nearly 30 matches last season...and the other matches do not enter the front of brain as particularly good or bad...

I will look at my programs and give you a more accurate estimate later in week.

My mathematics says you have a very one eyed view on Holloway. Using 2 eyes you see some excellent games where we beat or drew with the best in the division, as well as the bad games, the home record as well as the away, the young players coming in and doing well, more than we have seen for years, the improvements in the performances of Freeman, Luongo, Scowen, Robinson, Bidwell and Smith, and the obviously good team spirit evident even on streams, as well as too many changes in formation and players.. With little investment in new players he kept us up, and gave me hopes that if we could keep our better players we could be competing in the top half next season. If he was given a target of play off place that was never realistic for last or this season given the lack of investment in the players he was given to work with.

Hey I never gave him those targets mate.
It's just my opinion that we have played **** football under holloway. Obviously just unlucky in the 17 games I chose to watch this season. Looking forward to a new manager coming in and playing players in their positions. I don't quite share your view on improvements in players. Freeman is a good player, Luongo in my opinion is over rated, good but not consistently. Scowen is a rat of a player but ten a penny in the football divisions. Those 3 in my opinion is where Holloway messed up accommdating them all and sacrificing any width to the team. It was quite simple to see and to rectify.

It's all irrelevant now anyway. The owners obviously saw what a lot of us saw and realised he couldn't take us any further. Cheers Ian but see ya

A questionable decision if McClaren who doesn't stay anywhere very long, is nailed down to replace him. A bad decision if they don't in fact have a replacement lined up at all.

The games I thought we were good (that I went to):
Reading (h) poor opposition though
Hull (h) great fightback
Ipswich (h) comfortable until usual last minute panic
Sunderland (a) don't know how we didn't win
Wolves (h)
Sheff Utd (h) good side but we were comfortable
Brentford (h) had to include it just for injury time!! never say die
Cardiff (h)
Wolves (a) 2nd half
Bolton (h) always on top, even before the sending off
Derby (h) the equaliser was coming
Sunderland (h) same as Bolton
Villa (a)
Fulham (a) great 2nd half
Norwich (h) great performance
Birmingham (h) the youngsters looking good

We had a few disappointing ones too!!!

All 17 games games you saw, we were ****e!! Either you haven’t seen us in the last few seasons to compare it to or you have some seriously bad luck.

Been a supporter for 35 years mate so yeah amounted up a fair few games. The vast majority being away from home so I'm sure you can understand my frustrations with 4 wins in I think 40 games!

I have every right to be critical aswell. I want my club to be ambitious, I want them to attempt to play attractive football. I also would like to be entertained like tarrabt used to play. We applaud when someone kicks the ball out for a throw or intercepts a pass nowadays.

I would like to be entertained like when Rodney, Stan or Tarrabt used to play. But I also accept that our players aren’t as good as them so as long as they try their best and try to do the right things I won’t slag them off. If we get McLaren, I will be get behind him the same as I did with all the others even Hughes, Redknapp and JFH.
We were building a more promising future with the youngsters and team spirit (also without loanees). I hope that this change doesn’t upset that.
