The club continue to claim that there's just a vocal minority that object to what they're doing.

It's time to prove them wrong, please join the Trust and show that you support what they're trying to achieve.

The bigger the support the Trust has, the more it is likely to achieve something and it's only £5.

I think it’s clear that the owners will just string everything out as long as possible up to the point that they can skulk off with their pockets bulging
However it’s worth £5 to do nothing but discredit their claims of only a ‘loud minority’ opposing them, and it’s also important that the Trust has a strong mandate so they’re able to engage with any future owners, or administrators, in as strong a position as possible

Cheers OLM, we can't say this enough. It's not so much about the membership fee we get, but being able to demonstrate that we have thousands of fans behind us would make us infinitely stronger. We already know that the vast majority do back us, but by signing up as a member it makes it impossible for the club or anyone else to ignore. The biggest obstacle to getting new members is simply inertia; it's human nature to leave it until later and eventually forget about it. It's the same with trusts and membership organisations across the country. It's easy enough to do, so if you do support us but aren't a member please consider signing up now!

I will have a look this evening.

What are the current membership numbers?

816 as of last meeting.

I told one lad at work he should join and it's only a fiver. His reply? "Yeah but what I get for that?".

Ffs :headbang:

If people want to be 'getting something' for the membership fee, the partner discount scheme can easily make back the fee and more. If you go to Circle 87 on a matchday and get some food every home game you'll make it back in no time. There's all sorts of discounts just for being a HCST member. Premium menswear, animal training/walking/sitting, websites, driving lessons, fish and chips, the dinosaur museum on Humber Street...

My thoughts were more along the lines of 'Ask not what the trust can do for you, ask what you can do for the trust'.
