Well done, 9's I know he appreciated that. Staines arranged mine for me. Both of you are class for doing that, memories that will last forever. I think I even met you that day.

I thought it was Swords he fell out with, didn't see the thing with Damage. Shame as it would good to have him back.

if we were top of the division we wouldn't be having this discussion
To be fair, I think we still would. I was around for a while, but due in part to other posters leaving, and in equal part to some of the rubbish that started to appear around the time Ted appeared (I’m sorry, Ted, and it wasn’t just your posts), the board just lost its appeal.
I still drop in for the match reports and gossip, but it’s sadly not the same place as when I joined.
Remember that well...And Col (and his lads) and Finglas did the same for me
A great day for us all but capped off for me by meeting many of the lads (and Beth fleetingly) which made it so much better
He hated lorry drivers for some reasonWasn't he that bigoted homophobe who swore a lot, no don't remember him

I remember that well Devon....and meeting all the rest of lads and lasses. Even a lady who I sat next to in row A of the upper loft for years....we barely spoke until a random meeting at Wembley...And Beth very kindly sorted tickets for myself and my lads, (sorry a bit late on this thread) meeting us at the bottom of the steps at Wembley Park tube, something we'll always appreciate!! Whole weekend was fantastic Saturday at Wembley, Sunday at Wentworth (to see Rory win), Bank holiday Monday home to recover (with no voice)
That is certainly true WLW...We are all keyboard warriors...some are more aggressive than others.I don't post anywhere near as much, because the crap you get from some people simply for posting an opinion is ridiculous. This board certainly has it's cliques, mostly drawn along political / EU / nationalistic lines, and you can easily find yourself pretty much alone when your opinions get slammed by the massed hordes.
The issue is that you too easily forget that you're not replying to a username, you're replying to a person. And the anonymity of the interweb gives people the 'freedom' to be far more aggressive, abusive, and belligerent than they ever would be in the real world.
I think if people remembered that and acted on here as they would face to face, a lot of the missing posters wouldn't have opted out.
That is the key point.if we were top of the division we wouldn't be having this discussion
I can agree with that RTID, if we were doing well there would be more activity. The off topics threads can be good but I wish I had never posted on the politics thread. It all started off okay but as I said recently it turned into the 'Wild West'. I will always hold my hands up and say yes I was 'Billy the kid' at times. The thread was divisive but also interesting at times however I believe the thread went downhill after we lost two important contributors. Their well-balanced arguments seemed to be replaced by sarcasm and closed ears. we didn't respect others beliefs and at one stage it got too personal. Knocking someone's education and family was a step too far. I made my decision not to post on it again and decided to catch up on the Match Day thread only to find that had been hijacked (something I am pleased to say I have never done). That is the key point.
Soooo much to discuss when we were winning, who we'd sign next, who our manager was going to be this week to the next etc. As the footie has fed less interesting discussion, so the rest of the more peripheral issues have taken its place.
