St Patrick wasn't Irish, Saint Andrew wasn't Scottish. But they don't bang on about that the way a lot do about St George not being English.

The Scottish also don't go mental on St Andrew's Day. Most couldn't give less of a ****. As you said, most Irish people don't really bother with St Patrick's day either. We're actually the only ones who bother on our day and even then it isn't that much effort.

The Irish bother with St Patrick's Day. But the ones claiming Irish ancestry who have never set foot in .Ireland celebrate it even more. And some sad people in this country go overboard. The brewery which owns my local gives the landlord money to put up decorations and promotes St Patrick's Day but not St George's Day. They also, for some reason, promote Burns Night.

Good.

St Patrick's day is a commercialised ****fest led by Americans and a beer company, which doesn't make the best beer in Ireland, but has the best marketers who appeal to the hard of thinking.

I'm surprised you'd want something similar for St George's Day to be honest.

Which is the best beer in Ireland? My preferred Irish tipple is Bushmill's Whiskey, preferable to the Scottish imitations.

Born in what is now Turkey making him part Turkish.

He may have been born in what is now Turkey (but the Turks didn't arrive there until the 11th Centry) or more likely he was born in Lydda (now Israel) then Roman Syria-Palastina. Both his parents were Greek Roman nobility.

We don't know much about his early life.
However, we do know he defiantly killed a Dragon. A massive one with horns and everything.

I've been looking at electric bikes.
Are they any good ??
I went with my Father in Law to pick his new one up the other day
Seemed brilliant to me
I only had a quick go on it round the garden, but I was amazed how much easier it was. You can feel it pushing you on
Looks exactly like a normal bike too, as it’s an old school sit up and beg type and the battery is just an inch thick under the frame but over the back wheel (where you’d hang your panniers)
So I imagine it depends where you’d ride and how fit you are, but for him it’s given him a bit of independence and extended his range for popping to see people because he doesn’t drive

I’d say good on that basis
