Did anyone think we would waltz into the prem and beat established teams immediately?

    I didn't.

Lost one game against the richest club in the world , two draws against established clubs.

We need to get real, that is an amazing start for our team finding their feet in the best league in the world.

We will get better with every week that passes , and until we hit our form , every point is a bonus.

I agree, if we went out last season and dominated Sunderland we wouldn't stop talking about it. We haven't got the goals yet, even then we are still dominating, so when the goals come..it's going to be amazing!

I'd not say it's an amazing start, but it's one to be cautiously optimistic about. The front line need to be more decisive and aggressive at times, but Agustien and Vorm are two players that have stepped up far beyond expectations so far.

Early days with a lot of work left to do but if we can grab a goal or two (even in a loss to Arsenal/Chelsea) I think we'll be seeing three points at home sooner rather than later. I'm really enjoying this season and looking forward to some great days to come!

Jack - Is nice to see someone with some common sense posting <cheers>
I thoroughly enjoyed todays game and came away very positive about the performance - another day we would have won that comfortably. We have made a huge step up in class, kept our style and don't look out of place in this league - so stay positive Jack, I know I will!

last 2 games possession has been 59/41 v wigan and 55/45 v sunderland, should have been 6 points not 2. happy with 2 points i would say NO, the opposition would be happy coming away with a point with the possession deficit

Musty, possession doesn't win you games specifically, we could have had 40% and won the game, I really don't know what games you are watching, its a work in progress, and I have seen a much better performance than the other 2 games, we are not going to win every game, or lose every game!

Jager, you are missing my point, i would rather have 40% with attacking football and a goal than 55% of passing around the field and back to Vorm. tbh i dont think you have ever played the game.

Musty, I have played football for my school and actually rugby as well, but its besides the point, the possession football we have played for years has worked so far, and as I mentioned in another thread, we are not going to change the philosophy of the club because of a retired lollypop man, and I will extend that to fickle fans!

And as I said I hold Brendans opinions in far more esteem than yours, he has far more expereince in football matters than us, and as you don't make the decisions at our club, I think the guys there know how players are getting on in the training pitch, and how the attitude of the players are!

And by the way Grahams interview is very good!

    You are both right!

There is only 1 statistic in football that counts - the number of times that you put the ball in the opponents net. Having said that, the amount of possession you have limits the amount of time your opponents can put the ball into your net. It's about getting the right balance!

Well said Jager - seems some people will never be happy; we are punching well above our weight and improving game on game, yes 6 points would have been nice but it could just have easily been 0! So let's just ignore the gloom mongers and get behind our team - a team who do not look out of place in the worlds best league - a team who have got there without selling their soul - a team who are improving game on game - a team we should be extremely proud of! And if the detractors don't like it then why don't they p**s off and support Manchester Utd or City - they won't be missed!

To answer your question..I did.....Europe was a realistic expectation when we started this season. Had predicted we would get 7 points from first 3 games. Only a draw with Man C as in fairness to them they did spend a bit more than use so I had to give them a point. Devastated we are only on 2 points as its now all over and we are bolloxed. LOL :)

2 points is a brilliant start given as they are established teams. We were never going to get anything @ Man C. But i can understand the frustration in quarters at the last 2 games. OK possession doesnt win games but it enables you to create chances....chances we are creating but not putting away which is frustrating, but players are getting settled and getting used to the Premiership so hopefully it will come. If you had said at the beginning of the season you can have 2 points from those games then yes you may take it but given the way that those 0-0 draws have panned out then it is slightly disappointing given that we done enough in the 2 games to take 6 points!

I expect us to kick on after the Chelsea game. 3 points in next 3 games (Win against West Brom hopefully). 5 points after 6 games including Man C, Arsenal and Chelsea....happy? definately :)

Jager, if there is one person on the Swans site who is an absolute asswipe it is you. noone can have an opinion that differs with yours or if they do you ridicule them. i am not a retired lollypop man, in fact i probably make more money than you do which is not an issue. please remember, everyone has an opinion, you may agree or not agree, but respect others opinions, they may come back and bite you on the arse.

Musty get off your ****ing high horse, if you knew **** all about our team you'd know I was talking about Leighton James who is a retired lolly pop man!

And before you go on about opinions, don't post on almost every thread on here about Graham and he should be dropped! You are like dai trying to divert every thread to an anti Jenkins thread!

And as for my earnings, you have no ****ing idea what businesses I am involved in, needless to say it's more than one, each one of which earns my a very good living.
