Did anyone think we would waltz into the prem and beat established teams immediately?

One established team that may be on the ropes this year is Everton. It would be good to see you guys (or one of the other promoted teams) stay up just to show it can be done. The 3 that go up coming straight back down isn't good for the masses.

So, who are the 3 that you cas realistically be above? QPRs spending spree may see them safe, Blackburn have done a bit of good business and Bolton look to have hung on to their key players. I think you need to be in the top 2 of the mini league that includes you, Norwich, Everton, Fulham and Wigan.

I'd say Blackburn and QPR are still going to be in the mix, although obviously they have the potential to break away... as does every team in the mini-league.

Do you honestly see QPR doing well though? I'd say you'd get better odds on them staying up than you would on them having an on-field bust up... Dyer, Barton, Bothroyd, Warnock... doesn't bode well in my eyes!

LOL, Bothroyd and lots of people will be having bust ups. He's not such a big fish in a bigger pond now. He was great for us, but liked having the 'you're the most important player in the team' tag. Take that away and he'll have a sulk. I can imagine Warnock taking him head on, where DJ used to give him a stroke and tell him how good he was. When he was sat on his arse DJ would look away from the pitch until he got up, I can see Warnock, Barton and a few others bawling him out. I can see Bothroyd's career regressing! I can imagine Bellamy seeking him out when Liverpool play QPR. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Hah, yeah. I can't wait for the Swans to play QPR, he'll get a right rough time of it!

Really though, I think having that many "strong personalities" in a changing room can only have a negative effect. This isn't the early 90's with Wimbledon, where all the grit and physicality was provided by honest(ish) British players, this is here and now with overpaid primadonnas. Joey Barton is a scumbag as far as I'm concerned, and he shouldn't be allowed to receive such a high wage, but a couple of players like that in the same place and you're in trouble.

All we need now is for Colin to make Robbie "I knows everyfink I does" Savage his assistant manager and we're laughing!

Haha. How do you get odds on something like that, do we have to email a bookie or something? I might put together a list of QPR themed bets and email William Hill or something...

"Barton to headbutt Taarabt"
"Taarabt to storm off the field crying"
"Warnock to call one of Barton, Taarabt or Bothroyd a 'silly little boy' in a press conference"

Any others?

"Barton to headbutt owner"
"Barton to headbutt Warnock"
"Shaun Derry to score more goals than Barton, Bothroyd and Taarabt combined"

what about a qpr freeforall were they take turns headbutting each other then the last man standing streaks

Some interesting theories here lads, you know nothing goes quite to plan in footy!................
