    I like Lindelof. He's like one of those children that the Royal family used to pretend didn't exist. They've been written out of history. Lindelof doesn't exist any more. His wages are paid to a sham educational trust for the hopelessly untalented to save Woodward and Mourinho from the righteous savagery from their supporters for buying the worst center half since 'The Bloke in the Coat' bought Pal Lydersen, so he could pocket £175,000 in a large manila envelope.

    It must be hard for some fans in London to look at the table and see ManC top and ManU second. They must be wondering whether they should switch to supporting City next season.

    Obviously money helps but look at the players that were there when he took over and how much they have improved under him.

    I think he deserves credit.

    Players who were there back when City were a relegation-threatened side, of course...

    He deserves credit, sure. Not deification.

    If Sean Dyche guides Burnley to the Europa League, he should hands down win MOTY. He won't though, because reasons.

    He's had a pretty clear run at it. The other Big sides really haven't put up the best seasons...

    Chelsea have retired for the season, again;
    We've had Wembley to deal with;
    United aren't winning a title with Mourinho in charge;
    Liverpool are waiting for next year;
    and Burnley are light on replacements for injured players.

    The BBC have just published an article casting Pep as the 'Che Guevara of football'. <doh>

    Won't be long before it becomes compulsory to kneel and bow when he enters the room and I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that the national anthem has been adjusted to read 'Long live our noble Pep'.

    Fergie never had this level.of fawning adulation and he achieved far more at a time when the competition (specifically from Arsenal and Chelsea) was much stronger.

    Fergie saw off Wenger, and prevented Chelsky from
    being the first Sugga Daddy FC in England to become
    the Empire (as I said yesterday, they have failed -
    and Citeh 9 years since their lottery win have only
    3 PL wins + 0 CL wins/finals) .

    His final PL win was also a massive show of iron will
    over a close to collapsing squad.

    If you give me several days I may come up with a more inappropriate comparison, but I doubt it. To compare a millionaires stooge, albeit talented and prinicipled, with someone who gave his life trying to spread Revolution in Latin America, resisting riches and power to give himself to a fight he considered more worthwhile is, frankly, bizarre.

    Danny Murphy was prattling on Friday about how £uardiola makes players better.

    Somehow he must've missed how Stones, Otamendi and Mangala have all been as ****e last season as they were last season...

    We also saw that despite what ''they'' say, Sterling is as *****e as ever. All he can do is run fast.

    How has he made Walker any better on the pitch than
    at his last season at Spurs (all attacking/defensive stats) ??

    I have never seen a player miss so many open goals in a single season. For every goal he scores he misses 3 easier chances.

    They’re on course to smash pretty much every record including most points and most wins.

    I think they’d win the league every year if they performed like they have this season.

    He is not a game changer or star in a meh team.
    Which means Ingerland should not remotely be
    pinning their WC hopes on him in any way.

    It tends to be pretty difficult to win it back-to-back. Other than Chelsea in 04/05 and 05/06, only United have managed it and that tended to be when there were much more limited possible winners and they had Ferguson telling people which referees to pick and how long to play in injury time. Pep's trying that stuff but he's not there yet.

    Citeh may well win it next year but I don't see it as a given, despite being allowed to spend well beyond their true income. There are enough good clubs that can significantly improve to challenge them.

    Oh I heard that one several times over the weekend. How Pep has taken Walker "to another level".

    I just want the pundits to say once - yes just even once - when asked how Pep has achieved this to say "well money has had a lot to do with it". Because that's more correct than a lot of their "analysis".

    And then add that in the battle of the Manc messiah
    moneypits, Pep has spent ~50% more than Jose did
    (438 vs 295m) .
