Why? How do you control uncontrollables? Or do you think everything is controllable?

Kinnell, have none of you ever been to a corporate management seminar?

You don't control the uncontrollables.

You manage the uncontrollables.

Hopefully you manage the uncontrollables tending towards an outcome of positive impact influentials.

Don't however ineffectually manage the uncontrollables, as this can negate future goal oriented success criteria.

And then where would you be?

It isn't that simple, surely?

I'm sure managers get asked bollox questions from media people.

Foreign managers can probably get away with mumbling through stuff as people don't expect their english to be as good.

Some of their English is better than some of ours. And a whole lot better, with the odd exception like Roy Hodgson, than English managers would be conversing in a foreign language. Most could only take the Ron Atkinson approach and stick an o on the end of every word.

I went to one of these management courses once, and the first thing the guy said, was that we don't talk about a loss, we only talk about negative profits. One guy stood up and said to the guy and you are charging people £1000 per head for that pearl of wisdom. It was the biggest waste of £1000 I have ever witnessed.

It's funny Woy is multi lingual yet can't actually speak English.

People moan when we have dull boring managers and then moan when we have positive managers, I've come to the conclusion some people are just moaning gits.

People used to say Nigel Pearson was dull and boring , I always found him quite entertaining
