What I think we need more than anything else is someone to challenge Pontus for his status as the boss man at the back. It's no conincidence that he played best when Bartley was alongside him and faded when Bartley left - Bartley was big enough and had enough quality to make Pontus have to work for recognition from the fans week in week out, which he craves, and he thrived on the competition. Every side that have bossed us this year, and all the better teams, build their sides around two giant centre backs who repel everything thrown at them, and bully attackers. We only have one. Anyone coming in would need to be six four plus, hard as nails and experienced at this level or above in a good side, and have a desire to not only win but stand out - think Aiden Fllint, Morrison / Bamba at Cardiff. And they don't come cheap, but serious money spent on that position and one good attacking mid, likes of Maddison at Norwich, and we'd be better placed to compete. Still leaves the striker question, but it'd be a start. Just my take anyway.
The cheap option has been tried to death at Leeds, for close on two decades. Hasn’t worked and won’t work
& with the utmost urgency,as someone else said bring someone in like Pearson, say heres X amount of millions, now sort this mess out for me (and he will) imo,all in time for next season .
With all due respect, Pearson is a nasty twat and he'd IMO divide the Leeds UTD supporters and if things went pear shaped the fans would get on his back and he'd be gone. I don't know who would suit this club, but I know a few who wouldn't.
Well weve tried with with 2nd rate managers who know fook all about the championship & ones that have experience, but are to soft,or did not get any backing from the owners,so why not a quality manager who knows this league inside out & would get the backing from Radz, admittedly he's not the most loveable of characters but was Revie etc,yes he will divide the fans at first, but he will get results & hard grafting performances from the players, cause one things for sure he would not stand for some of the SH** performances that we have seen lately.
