I know you’re right ...but it does stick in the throat to vote for something that looks to me like it will generate more income even without any increased attendance...and I worry that might mean they stay longer!!!
Maybe I am missing something or misreading it, but in comparison adults will get a large reduction, seniors will get a very small reduction , 18-22s will pay a third more and under 10s will pay 3 times as much? And this is bringing back concessions? Great way to get the younger generation hooked.
that's a comparison with the era of the season pass and not the first year of the existing membership scheme
I realise that. It illustrates that these supposed concessions are no great shakes. The old prices meant that parents and grandparents could afford to take a couple of young kids or grandkids and get them hooked. Not that affordable now.
The restriction of only being able to take one U14 with an adult is the one utterly ridiculous aspect of the proposal.
Just been playing about with the calculator on the page. Dad with three U14's pays the same in zone 2. Goes down in zone 1 but not much.
this is not enough to boost attendance at the stadium, they are not doing enough to turn things around and at this stage it needed to be something revolutionary such as: Adults £20 Kids & OAPs £10 as a basis - you could vary the prices according to the Category of the match an which stand etc. then we'd be back up to nearer 18,000 in this division and I've said it before why not sell 'packages' of matches s they do here in Lyon - great way of bulk revenue and guaranteed filling the stadium e.g. 2 league games and a cup game = £50
Don't forget the 2015/16 season was after an astronomical rise in price which everyone complained bitterly about, and attendances were quite poor that season too.
Not voted because it won’t affect me as I’ve cancelled my membership and will be getting a Forest season card next season. I’ll still be a city supporter but won’t be driving a 150 mile round trip to fill the Allams coffers.
is it true under 14's can't enter the stadium without a adult....no wonder grounds are devoid of any atmosphere theese days.....remember when we played Man Utd at home mid 70's 95% of the lads from Setting Dyke school went without parents.....it was always youth that generated noise not the oaps.
I would say the vast majority of fans first went to a game onntheir own aged less than 14. I wouldn't have wanted to be seen with my dad at 13, as would most others, as it would have seemed less than cool. In any case he worjed Saturdays as didva lot back then and couldn't have taken me. Football is storing up problems for the future. Ever older demographic of dispassionate spectators and tourists and ever decreasing atmosphere.
I agree with all of that except for the fact that I’m concerned that a vote either way gives the Allams what they want. It’s a no win situation. If the majority vote against concessions (because they don’t agree with the way they’ve set it up, as it’s still unfair and divisive, which is precisely why they’ve done it) they’ll claim it as a vindication of their original pricing and if the majority vote for them, they’ll take that as a clear indication that most people are happy with the new pricing and won’t be prepared to change it.
They should pay us to watch the kinda stuff served up Tuesday night. On a more serious note £20 is plenty for an Adult with big reductions across the board for elderly,kids ect.
It hardly matters, because how many 13 or 14 year olds could afford to go every other week anyway... they'd have to save up months of pocket money for one game.
But surely with their track record they’ll just use a majority vote in either direction as a mandate to go forward with and just slap down any requests for change by saying “this is what the majority of supporters voted for”?
Exactly what they'll do. But, that is because this IS exactly what the supporters asked for. Well, the supporters committee did anyway. And some people think any decision can be trusted to them
