Did people in cities need to strip the shelves bare?

If people stockpiled every time bad weather was forecast it would cause chaos. And how do they get supplies when tney are cut off anyway?

If I lived in a remote rural place I would have more than 5 days supply of food and fuel in stock. The weather men and women on the news were forecasting very bad weather a week in advance of it arriving, plenty of time to get stocked up before getting cut off.

Haha! Something you can't knock Hull for. Our shelves were plentiful throughout.

I even got fresh bread from our local bakery and a pile of Lobster claws from the wet fish shop on Newland ave.

Av it, Castro :emoticon-0172-mooni

That is because Hull folk are too soft to go out in the cold weather.<laugh>

Beast my arse. Two hour delay and off.
Started drinking at the airport at 6.30am. **** me even the roads were fine and we d set off an hour early.
Finished drinking at 3 satdee morning. Three n half hours short of a full days drinking. Excellent.

Barca game was excellent. Bit flat but the skill on show was something else.
Tragedy that iniesta got injured army. But his touch on the ball. UNbelievable Jeff.

I'm back and officially nackered, sweating and trembling a bit.

Barcelona must be a dump with nothing else to do going by their crowds at football.<laugh>

As a matter of interest how much was it to get in?

129 euros in the top tier. You'd have hated it. All 90,000 sat down.

Really touching tribute to Quini before the game. Showed clips of him on the big screens with a minutes applause and then did a minutes silence from fans with some violins playing.
Brought a lump to my throat. Lots of locals with tears in their eyes.

Just wondered on price as someone on CI was forever on about how cheap it was in Spain compared to here.
I always said it wasn't.
They have aiways had nearly all the crowd sitting down since they took the seats behind the goals out when they increased .the capacity by extending the stadium downwards

They did have a couple of thousand stood up behind one goal, who got most of the chants going. Also had a drum kit!!!
Stadiums showing its age, crumbling away.
Didn't need hundreds of stewards either and the exit after the game was great. Not like the pissing about at wembley.

Someone I know who worked there for a while liked the fact you could come out of a gane after midnight and go for a drink and a meal. Families too, although school starts earlier there than here. Everywhere here would be shut. Messi scored his first goal for Barca at 1.30am.

They are starting a 500 million upgrade soon.

The Pest from the West is en route. I **** you not.

Hits Thursday morning and will be bringing snow allegedly.

Can’t wait to see HHH’s response to the latest moniker given to bit of weather.

Just removing my foot from the tv as we speak.

I've always been opposed to people being flayed alive but nothing less will do for these thick ****s.

Yes, but apart from the wind, rain and general ****ty weather did you have a good holiday?

Marvelous.

Actually, we toyed with flying home half way through, but decided to hang on and see if it improved. It didn't. (though we did get one morning's sunshine, ironically, just a few hours before that video was taken)
