Unless you're Leipzig, in which case the Red Bull Arena becomes the RB Arena. Bloody ridiculous.

Either they have sensational lawyers and/or they aren't afraid to pay for what they want. They seem to skate past laws in multiple jurisdictions.

They just chuck money at things and use loopholes, then lobby for change.
The two Red Bull sides weren't supposed to be in the same European competition, until the qualified.
Then it all went away. Funny that.

Not to be confused with the RB Arena in Salzburg - although that also goes for their players, given how many get shuttled between the Red Bull Arenas in Leipzig, Salzburg, New Jersey and Campinas every season...

UEFA are bought and paid for.

You have more chance of Spurs being
heavily fined for "irregularities" than any
    of these Sugga Daddy FCs.

Isn't their name Red Bull Leipzig? If so I guess they can call their stadium after their name.

Like if the spammers changed their name to Pikey Olympic, in the unlikely event that they qualify for Europe, they could call the tax payers arena 'the Pikey Stadium'.

I'll still probably call it White Hart Lane..... it's not like it's moved miles away. Sure it's not ON White Hart Lane anymore (does that even exist still?) but it's close enough for me. Unless the new name is catchy then it will be called whatever people want to. No-one calls Brighton's ground the American Express Community Stadium, it's just the Amex which at least sounds reasonable.

Could be worse, at least it won't be based on the way Football Manager names new grounds....... Hoddle Park anyone?

The new stadium is now CLOSER to White Hart Lane
than the old stadium, by at least 50 metres.

Not officially, no. German clubs aren't allowed to change their names to a sponsor.
There are some older sides that are exempt from it, because of their longstanding relationships, like Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.

Leipzig's official name is RasenBallsport, which means something nonsensical like lawnball.
Thus they get to keep the RB and nobody actually uses the full name.
It's one of the many loopholes that they've used which have pissed off Bundesliga fans.

If only they hired this former coach of Taurine FC Brazil, then they could show the Bundesliga how many ****s they give.

Whilst the weather delays lift off of the NWHL roof, The Times has put out a story regarding Chelsea's supposed rental of Wembley for 4-5 years, if they ever go ahead with building 'The Egg Slicer'. As it's not an arse-licking celebration of the monstrosity, nobody else has reported it that I can reference.

The story is that Wembley got Levy'd and Chelsea are being asked for a far, far greater sum to rent Wembley than Spurs are paying and are baulking at the cost.

So why is this story out there? There's suggestions of Chelsea renting Twickenham or the White Elephant. Both seem highly unlikely. Is it Chelsea trying to improve their bargaining position or is this all leading up to the whole project being abandoned? I know where I'd be putting my money.

Both sides of the game will be playing chicken on this.
I can immediately see the bargaining strengths/weaknesses
    facing both.

If I was Levy I would already be asking Wembley, if Spurs
qualify next season for the CL, for the possibility of playing
some of those games there as we did last season
(sound business sense and spanner in the works combined :) ) .
