I wish! They had some cracking ladies running that race, that year.

There were something like 35,000 of us, and we had to join the queue at a spot where we thought we would end up. I actually did better than I thought I would do, and that was after stopping to take a **** at about the halfway stage, too.

It does, but not the year I ran it.

I can't remember the reason why they diverted it, but I think it had something to do with the reverberations around 9/11.

The first half of the route was stunning, hugging the coastline along the Bay. The second half wasn't so stunning, as it turned in-land. Some of the hills were crippling. I ran the Isle of Wight Marathon as a warm up ffs! And that was harder!
