Why are you talking about Trump mate, ffs <laugh>

I already offered a short term solution, security that searches non students and watching out for unhinged students, because a gun ban is not going to make anyone safe in the short term, safety of schools and students is paramount at this point.

I agree, hence the picture i posted of that person on FB who put up a 0.22 for a raffle.

It is in the end a societal issue that certain people feel the need arm themselves to the teeth so everyone then can and do and then all want to pull the trigger.

I think some element of they actually want ready supply of little soliders exists as well as the call of duty generation is bascially a great way to each basic tactis to kids without them realising.

No, you said a logical truth was an NRA argument (which actually was not even an argument) :D

You used a "modified" argument when I posted the facts on automatic weapons, a misnomer as the reply was to Tobes claiming the guns were automatics.

Now you try veer away from the thread of posts into other arguments as you are being shown to be wrong.

I might put you back on ignore if you don't start making some proper arguments based on the actual posts <ok>

Bump stocks are legal. AR-15s are semi-automatic.

yes but we were talking gun laws.

I live around guns, plenty here, and there is no fear, if I lived in the US, I would be concerned <ok> The culture around guns there is completely different

So do I, most around here have shotguns, for pest control, Clay or game shooting. The difference is how they’re licenced and controlled. For example, a mate of mine who has a licenced shotgun, owns a wood and he wanted a rifle, they ****ed him clean off, as it wasn’t deemed an large enough expanse. In the States he takes a trip to the Mall.....

and I think everyone can agree, gun laws should be strict as ****, as in you must have already have a place you can hunt, or shoot for sport.

At the range here where I go, there are some serious rifles. Well able to cause carnage even if bolt action.

The trick I think is to make it EXTREMELY difficult, with lots of relevant criteria, before you can get one and then it has to suit the purpose you want it for.

What was the point of your claim that modifying weapons is illegal when you can legally buy a bump stock for effective full auto?

When I replied to Tobes that the weapons were not auto, you said "well um they were modified".

Criminal activity cannot be controlled by gun laws was the point.
Someone can meet strict as **** gun laws and modify it. heck in Northern Ireland people were buying guns with filled barrels and re-boring them again (vague on that but I do remember something to that degree)

It was a stupid point. Reality is the laws are only ineffective because they are written poorly, not because the law is fundamentally incapable of dealing with guns.

It’s the fact that a civilian can buy a military grade semi automatic off the shelf that’s the issue though. What possible use could that weapon have that’s necessary to fulfill the Sherman’s supposed constitutional rights?

They should be removed from sale, the end.

The guy has a packed crowd you could hit without aiming.

He had the issue of the hotel room filled with so much smoke that he could no longer see.

Irrespective.... semi auto firing 2-4 bullets max is always more accurate than a clown firing off the full clip in a hail of bullets.

The point of the automatic v a pistol is one about close quarters. If you burst into a classroom and first first the teacher should be dead first. Then you can slaughter all til another teacher runs along. If you are more than 20/30 yards the teacher is at a distinct disadvantage as most pistols are not rifled and they will have to be cool customer to fire and hit anyone.

minimum wage security is what this plan is.

Obama was pres for 8 years and all he did was increase gun sales (and sold 19 billion worth of weapons to developing nations), yet I don't need to bring it into the convo on gun laws.

Nice to see you answering for everyone else, you are that caring <laugh>
