"while they were in the Premier League, Sunderland were GIVING AWAY 9,000 tickets per game for free." ^ Soz but ^
So subtract about 10 K from their attendances. Might explain why so many people slink away at half time at their ground. If you've paid nowt to get in, you're losing nowt by leaving early.
So the reasons for so many leaving our games early, even ones like the first time we beat Liverpool, is? If that was the case regarding tickets they have hardly lost any of their crowd since relegation, still getting more than we have had since 1967 for level 2 ganes and more than the KC holds. Seem an even more attractive proposition for a potential purchaser.
How many games have we had where people leave at half tome or earlier? I don't know how many freebies they give these days at the SoL. Between 9,000 and zero ? Not every buyer wants a Massive club, some are cannier and with smaller wallets. Horses for courses.
Richard Conway, BBC @richard_conway Exclusive: Sunderland owner Ellis Short prepared to give club away for FREE - so long as any new owner takes on substantial debts.
Maybe the Allams, as a gift to the community up there, could take it on? Sunderland Storm rebrand, remove the 9,000 freeloaders, gate off the stadium etc Tried and tested Allam formula for a well-run club...
Why does nobody ever bring that up or slate them....? I know it's going of topic, but just always winds me up that those ppl never get a slating

If you are refering to people leaving early I quite agree. No one leaves the cinema or a theatre before the end of a performance.
