I have met Kate a few times mainly when both racemakers as you say lovely lady but crazy, but crazy also about racing!
Yes Quarter, I agree that you need a certain amount luck with the C. Up to now, mine is out, but like this game we love, our luck can change rather swiftly. Your friends story sounds horrific and truly luckless. And yet others have the luck from the start and given the all clear in weeks with no complications. The luck of the draw eh? Fate? Who knows, but I'm hoping when the larynx goes along with the tumour, it will be my turn in the winners enclosure. Thanks for the well wishes. By the way, there is nothing wrong with saying it as it is in my book.
Mick, my dad died of cancer almost exactly a year ago. A cruel illness. I offer no words of advice. Just hoping you enjoy the times when you’re not getting treatment as best as you and your wife can. Make some more memories. Best of luck. Attitude seems to be key and it looks like you have the right one.
Bob, thanks for the well wishes. My father, and best mate, also died of cancer. Not nice to see. Looks like I'll have to pack the sea n, so gonna live the dream, put the feet up and enjoy my time with the Mrs and my trusty hound. Mrs and sister itching to book a log cabin in the Lake District for when I get discharged from here. Just hope I'll be able to quaff copious amounts of beers and wines.....the food can wait!!
Just seen this as wasn't on yesterday. I wish you all the very best and am hoping that log cabin in the Lakes is all you want and deserve it to be!
