People may remember, or they may not, that before Christmas I spoke about a 3YO (now 4YO) who had been given 3 very, ummmmmmmmmmmm how do I say this diplomatically, ummmmmmmmmm gentle introductory outings over hurdles and had secured, in the process, what would appear to be the most unbelievably low perch to commence a handicap hurdling career. It’s so eye-catching that his Flat and Hurdles ratings aren’t, unlike is the norm, poles apart!
Anyway he’s been given an entry for next Wednesday (the first since he originally obtained his hurdling perch) but it’s on the bally blinkin' level! If you worked out who the horse was (I can’t remember those who did…sorry) the advice would be, at the moment, not to back it next week (although he hasn’t yet run for current connections on the Flat so this could be reviewed. Especially once the final ants, no sorry the final decs, are known). But I can’t wait until he goes finally goes handicap hurdling and his rating, in that sphere, can be exploited.
Cor blimey the above sounds very ‘cloak and dagger’. What, what?!? However, ‘county set’ confidentiality and all that. You know how it is, team. The horse in question, incidentally, is on the left (and for a short while, unless the regular readers are vociferous in their objections, he’ll replace Lieutenant Henderson).
