Thanks for the well wishes Oddy, but unfortunately not. It's the same tumour the radiotherapy failed to get rid of ( they told me it had 6 weeks ago) but as a result of side effects of radiotherapy, my windpipe collapsed last Thursday night and I was rushed in for an emergency tracheostomy with 2 hours to spare!
The biopsy is to see how much of the larynx they are going to remove. I'll lose my voice, but get rid of the cancer!
That will be the end of going to sea unfortunately, but we aren't skint, so might just live the dream and put the feet up with the trusty hound and the Mrs!!!

Sorry to hear Mick, wishing you all the best mate, and yeh just get them feet up and relax!

king kevin 3.40 lingf i know its spencer the pilot but told even he gets this home in front short price and soz for late post but told it will pay for your takeaway n beer tonight good luck all...

Thanks for the well wishes fella's, very, very much appreciated. Lying here in a hospital bed on drip feeds etc aint much fun, but got to give it to Aintree hospital (Fazakerley) they got booming internet which keeps me amused!!!
Looking forward to getting fixed, getting home and hitting the boozer for a lager frenzy!!!
Until then, the racing and you lot of reprobates will have to do!!!!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Best wishes Mick. You seem to remain positive, I really don't know how, and that is a huge credit to you Sir.

Cheers Stick, I've got to remain positive, otherwise it's roll over and die! And there are plenty worse off than me in this place. Or more to the point, go to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre on the Wirral and pop your head in the kiddies ward. Heart breaking and makes me feel damn lucky.
Anyway....I aint gonna croak til Squire gets it's head in front again....and even then I'm not!!!!

All the very best of wishes to you Mick.
Stay strong, Shipmate!:emoticon-0165-muscl
You'll be up and:emoticon-0169-dancein no time, with your positive outlook.

i was in hosp for a couple of weeks after a stroke 1 year ago Mick, comparatively not so bad, hope you recover well. Also hope you don't have a nutter in one of the beds opposite getting up at 3am, trashing the ward and assaulting the nurses, as happened during my stay. As a nearby ex-Royal Marine observed, ' thought I was back in a war zone, I was reaching for my tin hat.'

I think the card closer at Sandown goes to Mr Barry Geraghty ...................

I hope so Oddy, just had a fair dabble at what I thought was a generous 2/1. Good luck.

Hawkwind, that doesn't sound very pleasant at all. Other than the 1st night here, when we had the pleasure of a screaming banshee through the night, it's very quiet. Having ones own room helps too!!!

Stretch, thanks for the well wishes!

One for the system that Broken Quest! Great race, both due to go up 12 and 11lbs next time so was always going to be them two fighting out the finish

Whilst you've had your feet up all day resting watching the Nags and no
doubt some lovely nurses some of us have had a terrible day at work!

All the best fella, hope it works out the best it can for you.

Horse I have small shares in - 6 45 Newcastle - Foxy Boy

"Rebecca states that he is working well & he
should have come on for his last run, so fingers crossed he
can finish in the 1st 3, this time. "

Make of it what you will. Bit ****ed off that Jason Hart was originally booked (2 winners 1 second from 3 rides for Rebecca and is now riding a diff horse in the same race Spirit of Zebedee, probably end up beating it and FB will come 2nd, but fingers x'd!

Good luck with this Chelsea, i'm going to put an extra couple of pound on it's back.
