The time for that was when Cameron had the chance to thrash it out over two years ago, sadly, the spineless idiot didn't have the balls to dig in for our best interests and offered us the crap deal foisted on him. He then used project fear to defend it. The 'No' vote was mainly down to his ineptitude and the arrogance that we'd never get a majority to leave. The only way there would likely to be a parliamentary concensus would be a very soft Brexit which wouldn't be worth the aggro of leaving. Whichever way it goes both Cameron and May have totally f*cked it up for this country for the foreseeable future...
Oh blah, blah, ****ing blah. You really do have such a high opinion of yourself don’t you ? The question was about making things personal...which you do about Col in numerous occasions. Tell me if I’m wrong, eh ? You’re just a bully.
I agree with a lot if that - just trying to think of the best way out of it to be honest. And any straw I can clutch at I will.
Bloody hell following on from Goldies post about EU unrest with 'Barnie'....You won't believe this....The BBC actually mentioned on radio that the EU are not united and many countries don't like Barnie....They went on to say they thought they (EU) were making it hard for us to leave as others would follow! Can you bloody believe it from the BBC! The Yoghurt knitters will be up in arms over this.
I do have a high opinion of myself of course I do and so should everyone fit and healthy Yes I feel empowered and feel I have the freedom to challenge anything I don’t agree with Plus expression is good I have had enough of Col and his sort of course I bully no one and never will I don’t wear a face ... it is what it is and proud of that You should focus on other things I am not on here to be liked I read this forum as entertainment and history shows that when I have had enough of the tripe I leave it alone However with the current political environment I am looking out for Nationalists and will challenge the bile they spout out I hate them with a passion
This is quite an accurate example of how greedy major contractors fleece the taxpayer. When I worked at Southwark Council the amount that went on the preliminaries and 'work-up' costs of contracts often meant that the 'extras' and subcontractor profits came to more than the actual costs of a project. So many projects cost more than twice what they should have. This was all justified by only 'approved list' contractors being able to tender for works and excellent contractors were often overlooked for cheap labour being taken advantage of. It still goes on now...
Quite agree. This is a brilliant politics thread and the exchanges between you, Col, Stan, and stroller etc. have been pretty good natured on the whole bearing in mind the difference of opinion on something so huge
I do I am just being honest with my view point. I do not share the view that the U.K. is the best at everything I do not believe anymore in the pride that we are expected to uphold at all times . On here there is plenty of that and any challenge is deemed mad or now see as a bully I would also state I believe I use the word respect more than anyone else on this board I mark my posts IMO because that’s all is is Hate may of been a strong word however I sincerely dislike the Anglo Saxon who borrow stuff and pretend it’s their own. Recently on here there have been racist posts re the French for example and it’s allowed to go. I take insults on the chin because I know how to. I take belittling remarks and of course I ensure I make my point when I read crap I don’t agree with. I am lucky enough to see two different cultures every two weeks and frankly some of the viewpoints of the fools who must live shallow lives on here feed my passion. Staines Col and others in the gang have bullied posters off this forum. I have had to ignore posters like this. You will see how they band together as little weak Englishmen
For the record, DT and I agreed to stop goading each other weeks ago. I stuck to it whilst the WUM continued to bait me on many different threads. Now, I have never and will never complain to the mods as I'm big enough and ugly enough to stick up for myself. However, I think it's clear to see who is trying to be the threatening bully. He is a complete and utter WUM. I will now continue with our agreed arrangement to not cross swords whilst, I'm sure, he will continue to WUM.
Exactly, Dan. The fact that there's such a wide range of views flushes out the issues. People get frustrated every so often, which is to be expected, then go away, reset, come back and carry on. All the "hate" stuff just clouds the issues.
They are agreed brilliant thread and Stan’s posts are always excellent Ellers are great also albeit this thing must be making him ill I personally do not agree with others and at least I can ignore them ... such is the level of disagreement with these people. Seriously I am open and honest enough to state I will never forgive Brexiteers. I do not like that viewpoint I strongly disagree and thankfully do not anyone who holds the Brexiteer viewpoint . I can understand it fully but they are in my mind misguided. I also have no faith in these people at all
Sure, DT, there's passion on both sides, and I for one respect you love of France and all things French. I may yank your chain occasionally on this, but I know where you're coming from. If you dig below the surface on the Brexiteers on this board, you'll find they have positive attitudes to European countries. It's the EU and what it has become that is incompatible with their beliefs and desires. I'm particularly sorry you and Col have fallen out over this because you're both excellent posters, have good insight on matters on and off the pitch and for a long time got on well and were on first name terms. Brexit issues are fascinating but can be divisive. None of us should take the various arguments personally.
Absolutely. You can read and therefore take the time to compare the tones of the respective parties in their posts. Look at posts#15917 and #15922 and then tell me how that is not personal? Just because Col may be a 'patriot' as he keeps telling us does not mean that the views of the small majority that won the Brexit vote cannot be questioned and challenged even if us arrogant condescending enemies of the people we do respect the vote. If WW was being personally offensive by expressing a view that many share you live in a different world to me.
