Oi Edit : I've finally had a dump by the way. After four days. That's 4 ****ing days! I was beginning to think I might need an enema. Never do Imodium. NEVER DO IMODIUM!
I understand completely, And it does'nt help when only yesterday in the till queue in Bodycare, the weird bloke in front of me , slapped 18 pkts of anal suppostries on the counter , to pay for , I had to laugh out loud to. The look on the face of the young lass at the till , swiping them off 1 by 1. Priceless. 20 of the damn things in a pkt and He purchaces 18 pkts. That gives the weekly shop a whole another meaning.
Geoff and the Trust should encourage as much protests as possible and withdraw all dialogue with the Allams. There is no point. They will only consider fair and moral pricing if we're in the premier league, which isn't happening.
As the (very) old joke goes, 'for all the good those pills did I might as well have stuck 'em up my arse'. Sorry...
Of course it's relevant, which is why a statement confirming he did it on behalf of the Hull City Action Group has subsequently Ben issued.
And you think that despite Ehab saying on the website that the scarves weren’t the issue. I think the agenda is in your head, not with Ehab.
He was there to represent HCST, not play errand boy. What made him think, yeah this is just thing to bring to a meeting? He handed them the ace of trumps to play the next time they sat round the table. The excuse they needed. Bad move.
I suggest you reread the statement. He said they had overlooked it. Not the same as not being the issue. As I have said (clearly, I thought) the scarves added to the article gave them (their interpretation) the impetus to cancel yesterday’s meeting. So no, not in my head. MoH
Very sensible post. Ehab obviously got that statement out so people would think he was on track but all along he intended cancelling using the other stuff as an excuse.
Yesterday was the third meeting, they were given the scarves at the start of the first meeting, it quite obviously wasn't a reason to cancel. Neither was the previous days article. They just came up with a bogus reason, as they'd run out of excuses for not actually implementing anything.
Every Hull City fan wanting the Allams out of our club should be preoccupied with two thoughts: what would the Allams most want us to do and what would the Allams least want us to do. I'm not pretending that there are easy answers to those two questions, particularly the latter. But we know they enjoy being given reasons to play the wounded party, however ludicrous that may be given their conduct over the past five or six years. By turning up to the meetings with a sensible agenda, the HCST have played a masterstroke. You know that the Allams would love to be able to say 'well we opened dialogue and they weren't interested so what more can we do?'. We all know that the meetings have been a charade, but by attending and making their objectives clear and reasonable, Geoff and the HCST team have done a great job. However, the scarves thing was ill-advised. Regardless of how they were received at the time, regardless of the intent, they gave the Allams some ammunition. Senseless, needless ammunition. What purpose did handing over the scarves have? I despaired when I first read about it. The HCST were doing what the Allams would have wanted them to do. That said, it's a minor issue and not one that should be dwelled upon. As Al Rawdah and Dennis have rightly said, the meeting wasn't cancelled because of this. My theory is that it was cancelled because Ehab had made some comments regarding a less ridiculous stance on concessions and the club name, and Assem didn't like it. But that is just a theory. The scarf story will be seized upon by the handful of Allam apologists out there (including David Prutton, possibly, the bell end) which is irritating, but it shouldn't detract from the very good job that he HCST continue to do. Cancelling the meeting at the last second like that was a nasty, spiteful thing to do irrespective of anything else. But then the Allams are nasty, spiteful people.
