Probably why I said it.

Not sure why the antagonism?
I’m being antagonistic?
Aye ok

You’ve been picking at a comment I made nearly a week ago and calling me opinion weird, whereas I’ve not commented on your opinion at all

Interesting definition of antagonistic

Just caught the last 10 minutes of the Liverpool Spurs game, oh um. I suppose it starts with players lying and cheating but stuff like what just happened can't carry on. A real need for referee assistance one way or another.

That game completely undermined the people who complain about VAR slowing down the game. The amount of time the referee was speaking to his assistant was longer than pretty much all VAR reviews I've ever seen.

I would happily have stood in the freezing cold yesterday for ten minutes if it ended up with no penalty given and their player booked for being a cheat. I would have happily given up the chance to moan about it too.
I agree but we would have had the chance to go on about how VAR got it right. The ref blew so quickly I was convinced he was going to book the diving cheat. Preston's players' reactions showed it all. They celebrated and congratulated him. They knew, We knew.

In both games today , the actual AR got involved and came to the correct decisions, maybe if they had done that more over the years instead of stood there like statues , we wouldn't need VAR debate

TBH I don’t really think there is a debate. Whether one likes it or not VAR is going to come in for league games.

Was it from a week ago? Apologies. I got a notification and saw your comment as an unread message so thought it was more recent.

The only issue with VAR is how poorly it has been implemented in football. If they did it in exactly the same way as rugby it would be far better.

Watching Liverpool v Tottenham yesterday I predicted (to our lass) a 2-2 result after the penalty miss. Sometimes I wish I was a gambler and could bet in play. Don't know what the odds would have been mind. Anyway, woke up this morning with as much wealth as I had yesterday (not a lot).

What would VAR do for those who bet in play?

Live odds just suspend while they make the decision, then resume after it.
