Grosicki.

If true it shows how desperate we were last January to pay more in salary for a reserve from a comparatively cash strapped Ligue 1 club than an established Premier League player.

Unless, contrary to what we were told, he didn’t have a reduction clause. 25k would’ve been what I’d have expected to pay him last season.

Makes sense that it's Grosicki since he didn't have a relegation clause supposedly, only a Gentleman's agreement.

“A player that is rated at £2m in this window could be £6m or £7m in the next window and the one after that even more.”

Perhaps somebody should tell him this doesn’t apply if the player no longer has a contract in the next window.

Sounds like the sensible option would be to have a big squad and then sell them all for massive profit in 6 months.

A tower block in goal, a row of terraced along the back four, a couple of speedy bungalows out wide, good solid pair of semi-detached in the middle, a proper well built council house up top supported ably by a luxurious Knightsbridge apartment.

Get Rightmove in as Manager who can also act as agents.

We’ll be quids in.

Exactly.

It's complete bollocks. If he believed in what he said he should have invested all the parachute money into new players and then sat back and watched their value rise.

The man's an idiot.

Correct me if i'm wrong please but Ehab in the YEP article, more or less stated in all but words, that if we had land the lad from Aberdeen then MD would possibly have gone, great so there you go Nigel you're in the HDM stating you hope you can hang on to MD beyond this season, idiot in the YEP saying he would have gone if the circumstances had been right, good luck Nigel trying to talk Daws into staying :emoticon-0121-angry

For me it’s purely circumstancial. If Hector wasn’t ****e, Mazuch injured, Ronald untested, Tomori required at full back and we weren’t only out of the bottom 3 on goal difference I’d gladly have let him go.

His indispensability these next 4 months isn’t down to him, but rather the clusterfuck ongoing in general.

Spot on
