I'm glad somebody had the decency to tell some of our fans to shut the **** up, it's about time players were allowed to talk back without some sort of crappy investigation from the club.
It is interesting, but just to say (because I wasn’t sure at first) DM isn’t having a go at Burnsy, he’s having a pop at a City fan for being overly negative
Listening to the podcast he did last week it is clear that he has had some great times here and I am sure the situation we are in is getting the players down as well. I don't believe they go out their with the intention of playing badly. Hard as it is we are just gonna have to get behind this team and try and create a positive atmosphere though it is really difficult without winning goals. Hope we win on Saturday and turn a corner.
I know what you mean, by doing it the Allam way they will get a big pay day but only once. We will end up so far from the gravy train the only way back will be a super rich buyer willing to invest loads and sadly there will be many more attractive clubs to buy. A reasonably well run club should be able to stay there or there about's and make a bit each year, even if a Premier league club gets relegated with the parachute payments they should be streets ahead of the championship teams. The gap is ever widening and the Allams have put us on the wrong side.
It's a tough one because the team needs support and yet the animosity towards the owners needs to be stepped up. Unfortunately, the two are mutually exclusive.
I've always advocated that the best value for money in football is the management. Getting in a good manager (and paying them to reflect their ability) will typically produce better results with a cheap team than a worse manager will produce with an expensively assembled team.
Given the money received in the summer, it clearly made sense to reinvest that early and in areas we needed it, like defence. I also would have gone about offering new deals to Huddlestone and the like a lot earlier to ensure some consistency.
Everyone uses this line (was used to excuse snoddy moving to west ham) but it's a bit silly. If everyone only acts on the assumption of the worst case scenario they're going to make a lot of rash, silly decisions, as happened to snoddy.
Twitter is just full of ****ing ****ers who think they have the Right to slag anything off and it be the truth.
Bacary Sagna anyone? http://app.football-italia.net/?ref...vento-shortlist#article/footballitalia-116591
