As Fosse has said below, given what we bought him for we can’t really lose out. If he helped us to Europa league qualification and/or the FA cup it’ll be worth it. Hell the money for each place up in the league is crazy enough. I know what youre saying and I’ve been playing devils advocate (although I clearly see it differently to you).Of course Leicester should look after themselves first, we'll have to see how it plays out but if you don't get 95m in the summer (or even 75+) and mahrez doesn't really figure/plays like dog turd then it will be a failure on the clubs behalf as you aren't hitting your valuation and you have a toxic player in the squad.
Anyway, i wasn't having a pop at leicester they can do what they want as chelsea did with costa, just that its more of a shame for Mahrez
As I say, I think a lot of this is the owners taking it stand against big clubs thinking they can cherry pick who they want and at the end of the day it’s their money as owners. I think if, along with Southampton royally ****ing Liverpool over, it’s worth it if it means it puts larger clubs (or in Man City’s case a small club run on oil money) in their place and puts a stop to player power. The players are happy enough to demand big money contracts from the club for their own security but are happy to leave the club in the lurch and expect to be able to walk out on said contract at the click of their fingers. That’s why I don’t feel sorry for him
, his stats are poo poo compared to most. Coutinho is a playmaker, anyway if you want to bring out the stats

. If he still performs or you sell him for more than you expect then it would have been a good idea to keep him
