Do'nt be ridiculous of course he will make a difference. We should be scoring more goals with the amount of possession we are having. He will help with that. More goals WILL mean more positive results.

So Aubameyang will give us more goals and more positive results than Sanchez did? Coooooooourse he will.

He's clearly world class. But the issue is here is that personnel are irrelevant.

I get what Cini is saying. Auba is clearly top class but our major problems this season have been from midfield, so by that logic, we won't get better enough to get us where we want in the league, which is CL qualifications. Also, with our added attacking flair, Mkhi being the addition and Auba a Sanchez replacement, we still need the midfield to get all these attackers working.

It's widely accepted that Xhaka, Ramsey and Elneny have been below standard and Wilshere needs a run of games to see what he can do. So far he has done well but he needs to prove himself over a continued run of games.

I am excited to see what new boys Auba and Mkhi can do, but i fear what lies behind Ozil and whether they can match the quality up front. We really need to up our game.

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang undergoes Arsenal medical

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was undergoing a medical at Arsenal on Wednesday morning ahead of a £60m move.

Arsene Wenger appeared to confirm the Aubameyang deal had been completed following Arsenal's 3-1 defeat to Swansea on Tuesday in a video leaked online.

But, speaking to reporters after the game, Wenger declined to confirm he was confident the deal would go through and described the transfer as "complicated".

A £60m fee has been agreed with Borussia Dortmund for the 28-year-old striker, who arrived at Arsenal's London Colney training ground by private jet on Tuesday afternoon.

If all else fails, outscore the opposition!

He's world class on his day. Superior to Lacazette in every department and I'm furious you've got him.

Even more furious that you've managed to strengthen 2 rivals in 1 window. Superb work.

Without Sanchez we would have been WAY further down the league last Season. So did he make a difference? Yes.

Wengers tactically a dinosaur but to say better players wont yield more positive results is just garbage.

Mesut Ozil has ended months of speculation over his future by signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract to remain at Arsenal until the summer of 2021.

The 29-year-old playmaker becomes the highest-paid player in the club’s history - earning around £350,000 per week before tax - in a deal completed this morning.

Ozil would have been a free agent at the end of the season and was able to speak to foreign clubs from 1 January, but Arsenal tied him to fresh terms after lengthy negotiations.

An agreement was finally reached last weekend and the Germany international put pen to paper at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground earlier today.

It will potentially see Ozil’s career with the Gunners extend to eight years, having joined from Real Madrid in 2013 for a then club record £42.4m, and take him to the age of 32.

The 2014 World Cup winner has registered 36 goals in 182 appearances and is statistically among the most prolific creators of scoring opportunities in European football.

**** result last night. We can only move on from that though.
Happy with our business so far. Really hope we can get David Luiz as part of any deal involving Giroud going the other way <ok>

Manolas also being linked - seems they are definitely looking to add a CB.

Manolas would be a decent signing. We need a CB, but I do not want to see us splash £30m on Johnny ****ing Evans. No way.

We've been proper Johnny Big Balls this transfer window. Signed two top players and got Ozil to sign an extension. Don't think any Arsenal fan would have seen that coming in a Jan transfer window.

Not being greedy but I wonder if a defender is still coming in and Giroux going?

Rumours around that we're after one. Possibly David Luiz or Kostas Manolas. Even @cini65 would be happy if we got one of those in too.

<laugh> Only joking, he'd still be whinging.
