I don’t disagree but it cuts both ways. I came on here to debate but was immediately shot down with being labelled as “narrow minded” and “fans like this piss me off”. That’s where it started. I reckon if you are feeling a bit grumpy that this might have prompted a little reaction maybe?

Saying fans piss me off is not offensive. It’s how I feel. Don’t see the issue with this.

I don’t see the problem with Saying someone’s comment is narrow minded if that’s what I feel. That’s not abusive. When someone refuses to even consider there may have been a possible reason for something the manager did, then I think that comes across as narrow minded. If that constitutes name calling, then we need to shut the forum down..

I asked a question in my post that you responded to, asking if something was a possibility... your reply was “no.”

That sounds narrow minded to me.

What I would say though Le Saint is that if I do piss you off personally, which it seems I do, then use the ignore button if you can’t handle a bit of passive aggression (although I wasn’t really passive about it was I)

Nah. It’s too entertaining watching you having a fight with yourself in an empty room

I laughed so hard at that, it was the most Boufal thing to do. But i'm not a person who's super entertained by skill anyway which is maybe why seeing players using it and not producing anything at the end of it doesn't make them rate me any higher. and probably why my MotM was Davis who while not flashy was involved in most of our chances and kept the ball going forward. Stephens might deserve it more but i was on the wrong side of the pitch to him second half so hard to see what his contribution was.
I'd still rather see Boufal in the box more, maybe as an AM as i think the opposition would have a harder time tackling him. and i think his 2 best moments were in the box, one of which he should have won a penalty for.In terms of raw potential i think he has the most of anyone on the team, but he just makes the wrong final decision every time at the moment.

Agree with all that. I was laughing too. Davis & Boufal are polar opposites. Davis all product and Boufal all style. If Boufal can just produce ...

Bit of competition for MOTM in my eyes. PEH, Davo, Jack (also couldn't see well enough 2nd half, Sophie but no product, Oriel solid). Only thing we didn't do was score more and kill the game, but then we didn't have anyone on the pitch with any record of scoring regularly so what should we expect. And on that basis we could go on sacking managers for ever

I just want someone who wins really.
Pellegrino has shown himself to have character, and I like that about him.
Anybody can conduct themselves with dignity when things are going well; to do so when everything is going wrong and life seems to conspire against you, takes real backbone. That's one quality he has which is notably absent in many of our fans.

:emoticon-0148-yes: Your post is a party popper bursting out of a pile of cow ****

Sack the Fans

I don’t need reminding thanks. Please remember that I don’t think he’s the right man tor us, like many others. Unlike many others that doesn’t mean I will criticise his every breath as some others seem to do.

On Boufa/Mayal I have said several times:

1. He may have been reacting to Watford’s change (can I remind you he was criticised for not reacting to their change last time we played them) and moving to 3 CBs

3. On Boufal, he may have decided that he wanted Boufal for both matches and took
Him off for the last half an hour with Wednesday in mind... you know for that relegation game.

Now all I’ve posted is conjecture. We don’t know, but it is all possible yet too many of our fans on here are not prepared to even consider these possibilities. It is simply a chance for them to bash him again.

I’ll remind you again, I don’t think he is the manager for us, but I am prepared to consider his actions rather than just bash him.

Well if he was resting Boufal, then fine, take him off, but he still made an error with who he brought on to replace him as it apparently changed the whole dynamic of the game.

If he was responding to tactical changes by Watford, then fine, but his plan to counter it didn't work as Watford dominated the game from that point. Yes we held on but when you counter a tactical change you hope to stay in the game as a contest and it sounded like we just sat back and defended so going from complete dominance to under the cosh.

I agree with you that some people are quick to criticize MP, but even if he made changes yesterday for valid reasons the way he went about them still left a lot to be desired

Ah it's great to have the real FLT fighting the good fight....LOL
Life would be boring if we all agreed

We put an extra brick in the wall and although we allowed Watford more possession, they weren't good enough to penetrate it, they needed another cheat to get through and they didn't make it.

When a side ends up playing with 3 strikers, as Watford did in both our recent games with them, some sort of bolstering of defence would seem to be required. At Vicarage Road, Pellegrino was condemned by many, including me, for not reacting to the situation. Yesterday he reacted, and is still condemned. The poor bloke can’t win! And yes, it did work. They failed to score and we therefore won. I could understand the frustration if we had lost or drawn but we won.

He needs to get rid of the "one goal is enough" mentality. This is the first time it hasn't bitten us in the arse. Yesterday he had a great opportunity to encourage the players to kill off the game while there were no points up for grabs.

I certainly agree with that, and maybe with some more attacking options in his locker he will feel more comfortable. You must admit that the lack of goals this season hasn’t just been down to Pellegrino and his tactics. Though it perhaps wasn’t what people wanted to see yesterday, maybe he felt safer going the defensive route. At least it worked on that occasion. Maybe if he’d done the same at Vicarage Road we would have won that as well?

PEH should have been credited wth a "Worldy", we should have had a Penalty and may have actually scored it, Long had enough chances to have bagged a hat trick, this doesn't happen to a team that is struggling, no matter what the Gaffer plans. Small margins and no luck, the result could have been so much better, but it wasn't, I will take the win and move on.

I'd have been absolutely fine if he'd have done it against at Vicarage Road. They were thumping balls up to Deeney, who was bullying our CBs. Given how deep we were playing, and how redundant JWP and Tadic had become, an extra CB would have made some sense.

But yesterday there was no Deeney. There was no Watford pressure. In fact, we were on the front the foot, playing well, winning the ball back high. It was almost like being back under Poch. It wasn't MP's fault that Long didn't finish the game.

That all happened before the sub. I am confident we would have scored a second had we not gone so defensive.
